Did you check to see if it's the correct chain line on the spider that's been installed?
I took mine off to have a look, it's definitely a 55mm CL, it's stamped near the centre of the spider.
I think you may be able to modify / bodge the Shimano adapters to get them to work with Hope brakes but if you're getting new Hope calipers and rotors I'd just spend that bit extra to get the correct Hope compatible adapters.
I may be wrong but I don't think that Hope calipers work too well with Shimano adapters as they're a different design.
Someone else might have got this set-up to work and may be able to offer a solution.
Sorry, I just re-read your post.
If you're just replacing the rotors it should work, if...
Hello @thewanted
What size rotors will you be using front / rear?
You need to size the adapter for the rotor.
For example, I have a 223mm rotor on the front so I bought a +43mm Galfer adapter as the standard fox fork size is 180mm.
I've got 2mm Galfer Shark rotors on at the moment.
They are good and work well but they seem to bend easily, both rotors have a bit of a wobble in them that rubs on the pads.
I'm hoping that the TRPs will stay a bit straighter.
Hello Bjorn, yes you can use normal round spacers.
I removed all the Canyon spacers and put the round spacers above the top cap with the rubber plugs in so that the round spacers sit on the rubber plugs, it works fine.
Hello, I swapped my brakes to Hope E4s and didn't need to drop the motor.
I pushed the new hose in while pulling the old hose out with one of these, it went in very easily.
I would definitely go with a medium.
I'm 184cm and my large feels perfect.
A lot of the reviews suggest sizing down when you're between sizes but I'm glad I didn't as I think a medium would've been too small.
I agree with @Jona .
Mine feels like the invisible man has slammed the brakes on when it reaches the limit but it's a big heavy bike with heavy wheels and sticky downhill tyres.
I don't fully appreciate how much the motor is actually doing until it cuts out 😳
Did you size up or size down when you bought the bike?
I'm 184cm and bought a Large which feels perfect with the 35mm stem, it would probably feel too long with a 50mm.
