yep. Have run all of the above, the Assegai is the best all-rounder I now run front and back. Only downside is it is a veeeeeerrrrrrryyyyy sssslloooooooowwwwwww roller on dirt
I got a cheap tenq and it makes me nervous. What i do is start on a low setting say 2/3rds of taget then take it up to the corrct setting 1-2Nm at a time. that way I feel reassured it hasn't just jammed and I'm mashing my bike. I'll probably upgrade at some point but that works for me where I am...
Ok so I removed/cleaned/greased/retorqued all the pivot bearings (as distinct from joints with crtridge bearings) and the creaking stopped - Yay.
This is my 1st yoke shock set up bike so had no idea there were joints that just had bolts!
Had to play a game of 20 questions/jeoprody with the bike...
Morning! Being told my CUBE 155 MT ebike (full carbon still under warranty but apparently warranty does not extend) needs a new set of bearings at 650 miles/10months.
I don’t like the idea of paying for the bike shop to do that every 650 miles.
So am considering investing in kit to do the job...
588 miles in and rear spoke pops out, has not been near a bike park and has mainly run on mud.
Newmen Evolution SL E.G. 30
Was a bit miffed shop charged me for repair, saying warranty was for manufacturer defect not wear and tear.
Bike warranty reality often baffles (and costs) me.
Thoughts...
In my mind enduro means you're hitting stuff harder, pulling more g's one way or another (including braking). An enduro bike ought to be able to deal with that better and for longer than an all-mountain bike. An Enduro bike is for people who like trails but go a bit crazy downhill now and then...
My Bosch waranty was worth about 3K over two years. Then the (carbon) frame broke. I was given the option to replace with new for a 2.5k supplement (on a 5.5k bike). I took it. Don't regret that decision.
Great value. But compare the warranty with other manufacturers when making comparison. And definitley go with a good LBS you trust for an ebike, CUBE no exception to that advice ;)
25kg bike. Bounced up and down ~10 time about 20cm 1-2 a week for 2.5 years. Hairline cracks on sides of top tube. Cube say clamped, I say not. Anyoine have a view?
