Buy a 540w battery for spare battery or wait for 700w out?!

Have they actually announced that they will come out with a 700 W battery or is this just speculation? Personally I find the 504 W battery to be plenty for most of my rides. If anything I think I would rather have a supplemental battery for long rides like specialized offers.

Eco isn’t always the most battery efficient.

Why not? Less power means lower gear means higher cadence.

Quick ride on several motors. Bafang M500, nice surprise

The saying about bikes used to be "Light, strong, inexpensive. Pick two!" I'm sure there's a parallel analogy for ebikes, I just don't know exactly what terms to use.

    e-bikes/bikes markets ... something wrong?

I guess a lot of people had time on their hands to watch YouTube videos and dream, and maybe even more time to ride so took the plunge. It could be the lack of just a few critical components that slows down production, too!

Buy a 540w battery for spare battery or wait for 700w out?!

Never act based on rumors. If it does come out what guaranty do you have that it will work in your bike and not just in the new models?

Confession : Were you an ebike hater before?

Nah, just thought they were for weak people and cheaters and beyond my budget. Pretty much all still true, but a hell of a lot of fun and I am permanently addicted! Sold my Trek Fuel 2 days ago. Sad to see it go as we've had so many adventures but it was just gathering dust and did not see the...

Shimano transitioning away from support for E8000?

I'm not concerned. They could never put out a firmware update for it again, as far as I'm concerned. But I think you're reading something into a situation that probably isn't there. There are too many e8000 motors out there, and still shipping, for them to drop support.

Harder to measure your own energy reserves.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Unexpectedly I found myself buying a new cassette due to some bent teeth on the second from the largest cog. At only 500 miles I was disappointed to have to make this purchase, and since the shop didn't have SLX I had to go with the XT which cost an additional $40. Hopefully the upgrade will be...

Padded cycling shorts, what are your recommendations?

ALSO, regular men's underwear usually has a seam right across the 'taint' which, when paired with the pressure put on this area by sitting on a bicycle seat, can cause discomfort over time.

    E-bike World Record

15 mph on a track for 12 hours isn't all that impressive. I'm sure a lot of bikers could break it tomorrow if they wanted to. Not me, but a lot.

So far, 7 motors between my 2019 Levo Com and my 2020 Levo Comp.

Your KOM's don't impress me much, but what are you doing to kill so many motors? That's impressive in it's own way, I guess.

Rail battery fell out while riding!

Looks mostly like mud. How'd it look after you cleaned it up?

    Presta valve compatible with insert..

They are all overpriced, but those especially so. With the price of cush core I guess you do want to take care of them.

    Presta valve compatible with insert..

I imagine it's less about getting air into the tire and more about not showing up the insert.

I like the looks of those pants they wear on GMBN. Anybody know what they are? Probably $125 or more. ?
