After 35 years of tubed tires I finally gave in to tubeless - in my use case there are more benefits than negatives to running tubeless so I spent some time trying to make living with tubeless as easy as possible. Here are my thoughts on how to reduce the negatives in running tubeless than may...
Guys these things look great. Has anyone checked with the manufacturers to see if stripping voids the frame warranty. Back In the states Cannondale would generally not honor a warranty on a stripped frame and decades ago Klein stopped making raw frames because they claimed the raw frame alloy...
Rockshox 2023 Deluxe Ultimate RCT easily fits our small rail 9.7, but a DHX 2 would not work in the small frame. The new Deluxe ultimate is a more plush shock than the Deluxe B2 select that came with the bike, I would consider just buying a new Deluxe C1 ultimate vs putting $200 in rebuilding an...
For those that might have a similar issue - I figured out that the key is to go very slowly and work your way up to the big TQ when you use the bigger TQ wrench. I used a small T wrench to get all the bolts as tight as I could by hand, then used a small TQ wrench to get them to 6 NM, then...
Trying to mount up a 104 BCD chainring to a new spider for a Bosch Gen 4. I have the park chain ring tool, but its very awkward to try and use a torque wrench while trying to hold the back of the chainring with the crappy chainring tool and also trying to hold onto the chainring so it will not...

The above TSB is likely why you had an extra metal - o ring - likely a Shimano HG thing if your new Shimano 11 speed linkglide is running on a 52 mm chainline.

My son and I just finished our research on the Spiders. Per a call with Trek, they confirmed a 52 mm to 55 mm chainline for use in my Trek Rail 9.7
Spiders options:
Option 1) Race Face-AL Bosch Gen 4 Spider $25 (52 mm chainline - inside mount chainring) part number F10025. Supposedly comes...
I am trying to find something better than bolts and washers or hammers and drefts to remove the shock mount bushings and DU bushing from a Rockshox rear shock on a Trek Rail. Note - the bushing are really long on the rail measuring 40 and 54 mm respectively so any tool needs a long catcher side...
I believe a megneg should be able to help bigger but not the biggest guys that decide to take flight land more gracefully. It was explained to me that running more negative air pressure with the MN allows you to run higher positive air pressure while retaining the same suppleness off the top and...
I think the choice between 38 vs 36 starts with travel, type of bike, rider weight and then use. For your situation the 36 makes the most overall sense.
Has anyone fit a Meg Neg on a Trail Rail 9.7 with ie. RS Deluxe with conventional mount ie. no trunnion or thrushaft, trying to figure out if it will fit. In the alternative can anyone put calipers on their Meg neg from a thrushaft bike so I can determine how much bigger its max diameter is...
Fox apparently does not release shock dyno curves on their two 38 tunes (stock vs emtb) so the only one's available would be from an aftermarket tuning shop. Probably just need to pull the trigger on the Fox 38 EMTB and dial it in on the bike and my local trails.

Agree the easiest upgrade path is to replace the Rear Derailleur with a GX, been told you don't even need to change out the NX shifters. How much of pain was the setup on a AXS GX ?
Finally, any input on changing from the NX rear Cassette (heavier and more limited range) but only one SRAM...
