All New 2022 Trek Rail with SRAM Airwiz - First Look

I never had an issue with the battery. With the battery out I aligned and centered the top mount so key was centered. Then I installed the battery & flipped the bike over. With the bike upside down, I loosened the lower mount and battery/lower mount slides up closer to the top mount then I...

    My Rail, Resting on Stuff

Sweet, Annadel is definitely one of my favorite places to ride. Thats my typical first loop then I go back up to go down Rough Go and Cobblestone to finish. Cobblestone has some really techy bits as you get toward the end of the descent. Link to the route below Strava route

Trek Rail upgrades, what have you done?

It is still a Head tube badge, as that's what Absolute Black created it as... you just repurposed it which is good. I thought of doing the same thing when I first got my Rail. I got one with every Oval chainring I bought from them....I had a ton of them but I may have tossed them out. I...

    My Rail, Resting on Stuff

When I go there I just ride the Technical stuff that doesn't sound like what your friend would like. Go on trailforks, you could probably ride around the park counter clockwise park and start on channel drive, ride up to springlake park toclimb up Canyon Trail up and around to the reservoir...

Are expensive bike lights a rip off?

I love quality bright lights.....and yes they were expensive, I run a Light and Motion Seca 2500 on my Helmet, and a Niterider 4200 on my bars. I can ride at night pretty much as fast as I ride during the day in some situations. Normally you would want to ride the brighter light on ur helmet...

Is it really? @57.5mm stroke and 150mm of travel 65mm stroke at 169mm travel:

Trek Rail Coil Shock Spring Rate vs Total Rider Weight

$130 for a spring is steep, I'd be hesitant too. Just make sure the people who respond are also running 65mm stroked DHX2 shocks. On the shorter strokes, the spring weights ramp up faster. so springs used aren't directly comparable....stock stroke vs. 65mm is about a 50lb difference on the...

Trek Rail with Fox DHX2 coil

How much do you weigh? when calculating spring you don't add bike weight.

Trek Rail with Fox DHX2 coil

I run a 67mm spring. Just run 1mm of preload. and ur fine. Shouldn't run more that that anyways. According to Fox Calculator, 550 may be way too much. I attached the calculator with a body weight of 210lbs in gear, shock stroke @ 65mm and rear travel of 169mm. For 30% sag ur probably at...
