I had the upgrade. It feels more responsive in tour but I haven't really had the chance to test the higher levels. An interesting point from the lad who did the upgrade. He said that the 85nm only gets put on bikes with 165mm cranks. I also got the wife's Reaction done whìch has 175mm cranks...

This is the clearance between chainring and chain stay with a 38t chainring. I think a 42t would be too close for comfort.

Has anyone done the 85nm upgrade yet? The shop we got the wife's Cube reaction from said they will do the upgrade for free so keen to try it but would like some input as to weather the benefits are worth the possible extra battery use. Cheers.

Maybe, but 600 miles in on the 38T and no problems with chain tension in any gear.

I fitted a 38T (34T originally) chainring to my 140 with no problems in any gear. The chain on the 140 is the same length as the one fitted to the wife's Reaction which came with a 38T chainring.

It's a 2020, I think I'll go for the 2021 motor software update if possible though. I've done 40 mile days and returned with 50% battery but mostly ride on eco mode. I changed the saddle for a Brooks B17 as the original was not suiting me and the B17, once broken in is the only saddle I can do...

I think you've made the right choice, I bought the same bike back in March and 1300 miles later am loving every minute on it.

I had the same thing with the wife's Cube, nothing I did would cure the howling brakes until I swapped the O.E pads for Lifeline replacements. An instant cure.
