No delay mate. I was surprised it arrived as quickly as it did. I had my first good ride out yesterday.
Every thing was silky smooth until I selected the 11 tooth 12th gear and the chain would hop occasionally.
I checked alignment and the final adjustment screws, which were all good. But in...
Same with me, the emtb got me right back into riding and improved my fitness, now looking to upgrade my old 26" hard tail peddle bike to a 29 full sus in the new year. Thinking of cube 120 race.
I'll still be using the hybrid in the really hilly areas though.
I am of a similar age to you and this year got a Cube 140 hpc race with 625 battery, it has been a revelation for me.
I have a fair bit of mtb experince having done a little dh racing a fair while back (my first full sus was a 1998 spescializedbut FSR extreme). like you i no longer wanted to be...
Hi, on a ride today the gears started playing up, the chain hopping on all but the largest cassette rings.
On examination it was apparent the derailleure (Sram eagle 12 NX) was unable to keep the chain tensioned. Further investigation arrived at the roller bearing clutch restricting the movement...
Not really a maintenance tip, but, looking at your first picture, my carbon framed 140 had a sticker on the top tube saying "No clamp zone". Or words to that effect.
Presumably due to the delicate nature of the carbon tubing in this area.
Thanks, I meant to say Schwalbe nobby nic, I can't see TR on the tyre anywhere. I use a rim sealant when fitting tubeless motorcycle tyres, will this help with tubeless mtb tyres?
Black hill on the Quantocks again, amazing 360 views.
Back to the flatlands of the new forest tomorrow.
We've really enjoyed our trip to the hilly south west northern coast.
We'll be back as soon as possible.
Dunkery beacon today, 520 metres above Porlock our base. Lots of climbing and descending on route.
The 3.75 mile, 400 metre descent from Hawkcombe head back into Porlock on single track is totally brilliant.
It's the only seat I find truly comfy for long rides. The Brookes leather saddles take a while to break in but over time moulds to your body shape. The wife is still using the seat that came with her bike and is happy with it.
No padded pants needed for me!
