The Orbea Wild FS has the lock/latch fixed on the top of the down tube. You can’t move this part. You can move the bottom part where the electrical connector is to adjust for longer or shorter battery. This makes it harder to do as the blue paper said you have to take the motor out to do this...
I wonder if you can get away without the tensioner. Sort of like motorcycle.
Hanging derailleur is not really an issue I would think given the tensioner hangs quite a bit. Derailleur would have been at least halfway tuck in on downhill anyway.
Or a tensioner like Zerode bikes would be...
Additional weight on the wheels is about 200 gram. But overall is 120 gram heavier than a derailleur setup.
I would like to hear first hand experience on plus and minuses if anyone can contribute
I’m sorry what makes the trek powerful not take a bottle mount. I looked at the pictures and I think it can. If you need to shift the mount down or up or to the side a little, wolf tooth components make great stuff...
Wow this is the first time I heard you can update firmware on Bosch yourself. I was always told you need to go to dealer for this. I have Orbea with Bosch and about to go to LBS Next month to update. If the update possibly to do yourself using Kiox, I’ll wait until my Kiox comes and replace...
I go up as fast as I can and catch up with them on my second lap. It’s usually work that way. Almost everyone of us has ebike. But only me and another person is pretty much exclusively on ebike. The rest split their times.
I have Orbea Wild FS H30 with Bosch and Giant Reign E+1 with Yamaha. I just updated the Yamaha through the app! So easy. I wish Bosch let us user update it through an app. No need for LBS visit. The Yamaha increased their max support from 340% to 360%. Also all the 5 level is customizable...
It is factory Bosch charger. It is unfortunate we have 2A for USA only because of the 110V. Sound like 220v converter is the simplest and easier to use. Thanks for the help!
Cost is relative I guess. To run 6A-220v reliably you need about 1600 watt converter. Runs about $100. However the biggest issue is the size! I really don’t understand why Bosch doesn’t offer it when Yamaha does.
To charge using 2A-110v is 8 hours. Using 6A-220v is 2.5 hours. I think that’s...
Where do you see the 110v-6A charger. I must be blind cause I don’t see it. A direct link would be appreciated. Cause I googled it and can’t find it. Went to Bosch website and they also don’t specify 110v-6A. Only 220v
I own Orbea with Bosch motor. Today I bought a Giant with Yamaha motor for the wife. Both has similar battery 500wh and same voltage. The Bosch can only charge 2A on 110V. The Yamaha can charge 6A on 110v. Took the Bosh 8 hours to get full charge while only take 2.5 hours to do the Yamaha...
