One more thing, I have not bought a cool bag like you so the first inner tube I rolled then put into the same area belted by the cuttings of another inner tube and the second inner tube I wrapped around the top tube and used a paper binder clip to keep from unwinding.

Hi irie,
because mud season is upon us in the northern hemisphere, would you mind posting pics of your wet setup as well? Did you have to do any adaptations to the rear large Mudhugger, and what do you use in front?
I noticed the Rail frame’s battery compartment cover has big open seams...
Hi irie, if I had to guess you have an aftermarket bottle cage or you drilled and riveted on the ONE air pump?
I noticed your avatar shows you used to carry a saddle bag but now its on top of your top tube and in front of you seatpost. Can you tell its lower center of gravity, and what other...
As recommended above, I bought the ONE’s EDC:
100cc air pump
V2 tool kit
Pliers and tire plugs
They all fit inside the bike pump which in turn fits on the bottle cage mounting area of the Trek Rail. I had to get bolts that where about 3mm longer. I also later taped the air pump handle to the...
I emailed OneUp asking what to get and they recommended the EDC pump, V2 tool, and pliers. It cost me roughly $180. Once I get it I will let you know about the install and take pics. The kit just needs better automoblie-type tire plugs. At this point if I do not find a working bike bag, I will...
Interesting because I was thinking of the Camelback Frame Pack. It would likely only fit under the Down Tube so it would not be as secure as under the Top Tube inside of the Main Triangle. But it would have an inner tube and bike parts so not likely as heavy as being full of water, which is...
If you have a cool way to carry tools on your bike, I will appreciate it if you can please post a pic and write about your setup.
I recently bought the Gen 4 Rail 9.9.
Thanks!
I was waiting for a Rail Gen4 that was going to take 100 days wait while a Gen3 was ready to go. I was tempted to cancel the Gen4 order and get the Gen3 quicker. But, last week the Gen4 arrived after only 30 days. This was consistent with what Trek had previously said that they tend to...
I asked because derestricting is not restricted to only speed.

“The biggest thing for me was the pedal resistance which is almost unnoticeable in...
Is there a way to get the Gen3 to produce 340% pedal assist?
I ask because the pedal assist for the Gen4 is at 340% whereas it is 300% for the Gen3. The Gen4 has a 100 day order wait time, whereas the Gen3 is available to ship. And the Gen3 is about $2,000 cheaper.
Thanks!
YES! I have a couple Stihls including the 500i. After a fire lots of logs come down. I also have an EGO 19” for the urban work. I heard wonders about the Milwaukee from Hawaii dirtbike riders as you do not have to dismount to use it. I tend to carry a manual chainsaw chain with handles...
I hope I can wait that long. About 5 years ago I was able to get double deals there and ordered a Haibike hardtail 24” for my son. That way when he was 7 he could ride with me. I still use that bike with a Bosch motor to commute to work. I remember the promoter telling me I could not go wrong...
I found a comparison table for the Bosch motors. It is telling. It discloses and contrasts “Rated continuous output” with “Maximum Power”:

There seems to be more correlation between torque and “Max. power at a cadence of 70 rpm”.
Hey Aiteui,
Yes, I appreciate the picture. It clarifies the concept. I come from an electric trials bike world. There motors are measured by how many Watts you can feed them. Some are 750 Watts. Torque I thought of as the second derivative of speed. It makes sense if your motor is putting...
These are great responses.
Samjlevy,
I am already thinking of $10,000 but it depends as I could go higher or lower. I ride with NICA and some manufacturers have great coach discounts plus everyone is talking about a glut in ebikes. The Crestline looks cool and it seems similar to the...
