Everything feels smoother and really rolls / freewheels better than ever. I just did 45 miles this morning and it was an absolute delight to ride today.
Ye
Thank you for all that.
I had been told this before, but the importance was not highlighted. The first time you hear a loud crack from a gear change you don't forget it! I do all my gear changing is sat in the saddle and I take off the foot pressure as I pedal. I have managed nearly 700...
No they didn't. Unless you mean to make sure I am in the right gear to get the most engine efficiency, and not to expect it to power you up a steep hill in a low gear.
Ah thank you - I didn't know that! I just assumed the line was the engine power. That all makes sense now. So the line I am seeing at 20mph is my own effort.
As I said I am new to all the details of this system.
They told me when I collected the bike that I didn’t have the latest software. I thought I did. The last update I did on my iPhone included all the different modes as I have been loving AUTO in particular. All I use is now ECO and AUTO.
Regarding the power index line, it’s always one colour...
Ok that makes sense - thanks. Its my first eMTB, so this is all new to me. I thought the whole point of the app / bike updates was that I didn't need to take it to a dealer to get the software upgrade?
When I am riding the power index line on my Kiox is still acting as though it is supporting...
Yes, I am in Devon. I noticed that the bike is still receiving 50/60% power at around 16-17 miles an hour. If I am peddling hard at 20 miles an hour, there is still a level of assistance of around 10 to 15%
That’s not what I mean. Do the retailers, repair shops update bikes with software that I cannot update? In other words are the Bosch updates that I install using my iPhone different from the ones that a shop will install?
I got my bike back from my first free service (Cube Stereo 160 Actionteam) and it feels so much better. The whole bike now freewheels much easier and there feels a lot less resistance when rolling downhill. I feel I can pedal a lot more effectively when the battery tails off with the speed...
I turned my Kiox300 off when I got to a cafe - it deleted my entire 19mile ride and drew a straight line from my house to my coffee....! Still carried on logging until I got home, but the first half on the ride looked like I had flown in a plane.
I totally agree - £120 a night is just crippling. It stops me doing a lot of things these days.
I calculated that £120 in 2024 is in fact £95 in 2019 - that's how much everything has risen - except for our wages of course!
As someone who rides tracks / lanes / roads on their eMTB, I often stop and switch of when I grab a coffee. The fact the app is still recording is also useful, but I think there should be an option for those who want a simple On / Record, Off / Record Off.
On Sunday I rode 35miles, taking a break half way through. I checked the ride was recording when I left home.
When I got half way, I was at a cafe so I removed the controller from the handlebars. The app was now paused but only showed a distance of 125ft, instead of 17miles!
I put the...
For me, off road riding was never the point of my bike purchase. I live near Dartmoor UK so I’m gearing myself up for some bigger rides.
Yesterday I managed a 61.74 miles on my 2023 Cube Stereo 160 Actionteam. It’s the 750w / CX configuration. It was a road / trail ride as I wanted to see how...
I have a Cube 2023 Actionteam - I have the following modes available. Its a CX Smart System.
I was having a lot of issues with pairing the app to Strava, but this latest update seems to fix all the connectivity issues with that, so I am giving that bit a thumbs up. As I mainly ride trails /...
I had TURBO / EMTB / AUTO / ECO initialised and there was only 3 miles difference between its predicted distances left for AUTO and ECO.
I was using AUTO for considerable uphill stretches on steep rural roads / tracks and it made hardly any difference to the battery consumption (I was...
We have the same bike I think - I have the 2023 Actionteam which is blue with orange forks.
You can only run four modes at any time. You can go into the Flow app, see all eight and change the ones you want to make available. It will tell you that you can only choose four.
Appreciated report. I can imagine AUTO pushing things too hard on slippery ground. I really was surprised at the pickup when pushing up some steep hills this afternoon, it made it incredibly easy. Most of my riding is rural / lanes / tracks and AUTO is really idea for that.
