yes i still havent decided which way to go yet. still trying to justify the extra money for the pro carbon lol. But as you said its a lesson learnt. They have been helpful and understanding for sure. Cant fault them for that.
they sold it as shop soiled. they emailed me pictures of the scratches but failed to tell me it was dented on the steerer tube. but yea the fact they said to my face its just cosmetic because they can get the bearing out didnt sit right for me
because at the time it was the only thing available in my size. at the time the non marked ones where full price (2k more) so for a few marks it was a no brainer. however a day or 2 later they added the non marked ones for only £100 more than mine. And thats where we got to. They have the bike...
They knew the damage to the frame was there. They bought the bike from specialized (they are a main dealer) knowing it had these marks and a dent. so they bought it cheaper, its how it works apparently. The guy before me spotted the dent and asked about the bearing not being able to come out...
So update. They said it’s fine as they have taken the bearing out before to check and comes out fine. It’s not structural. So my options are:
•Get a refund
•get one in red as no more blue in stock (not keen on red)
•or get the carbon pro for 3k more.
•or put up with it and keep it
Thanks all. Have spoken to said bike shop and they said to bring it in for them to look at. Will ride there after work tomorrow to see what they have to say.
I bought a new 22 levo comp last week. it was a "shop soiled" bike and i knew about a few scuff marks and i was fine with it. Price difference from this to a new unmarked bike at the same place was £100.
There was a couple of scuffs to the bars, shock, along with a few others that has slipped...

i am a proud owner of the same bike. first ride out on the weekend and experienced the same feeling. even running on the flat and turning it off its almost impossible to keep at 10mph without your legs burning. Almost feels like the brakes are binding. Lucky for me i was with a friend and i...
