I’m looking at the moment between :-
Transit type van
Ford connect lwb high roof
Seven seater type thing with rear seats removed
Or a pick up
I have a 2019 Levo in large and want it stood up ,wheels on ! getting two bikes in not touching would be a bonus
I have a car I want to keep so...
After now about 450 miles on my 2019 , I find my most used cadence means I cycle at just about the cut out / on off in eco all the time on mainly the two smallest cogs on the rear
To give a more even use of the rear gearing what size front should I change to when upgrading ( if any ) ?
Thanks
If mine is proper muddy I wash it with a hose every time , touch wood never had a problem but I always then go on a couple mile street ride to shake any water out .
If not too dirty I clean with wet wipes and then buff , anal maybe but it works for me .
I do also spray a touch of contact...
Controversial I know but I run a Neo guard up front as I like the look and a cut down plastic thing on the rear just to keep some muck away from the gap !
But I do clean my bike properly after each dirty ride .
Touch wood , I had mine since early Oct , no problems , about 500 miles in lots of mud and rocky off-road .
Just do it , it’s a great bit of kit and niggles can be sorted by your good local support dealer .
I am 5’11 and about 120 kg , I have a large 2019 Carbon Comp since October
I have rode it over 400 miles quite hard , I don’t at 51 get much air as such anymore and ride quite heavy but so far the size , suspension has coped perfectly , the bike will always outstrip my talent I believe .
If it’s like only about £40 quid ish , I see it as an improvement like anything on the bike , for the uk conditions I ride in , and other changes I’ve made to the standard spec of my comp carbon .
I’ve changed the grips, bars , saddle and peddles ! Some have changed wheels , shock , fork ...
Tbh I could have shopped around and saved a few more quid possibly, but I know the guys at my LBS and trust them to look after me with after sales etc so it can depend on what sits best with you as the total spend is quite substantial.
My personal opinion is that a commute / road setting of 25 mph would be useful , but while the rules are the rules I am happy to stay restricted for now .
