I would either go for the new Hope Fortus (due any day in four rim choices) or Hunt Wheels. Really no need to buy 'E' specific wheels - or anything else 'E' specific!
Not owning one I’m not familiar with the lead/plug/junction but presuming it doesn’t need touching often can’t you protect it more like a marine fitting and smother it with Vaseline and then pop a long length of heat shrink over the whole junction?
As a (very close to popping the dosh down) prospective Levo owner this is yet another topic I'm catching up on filled to the brim with woeful build/manufacture/design/reliability issues that are inexcusable on bikes at this price point and making me seriously question the purchase???
I've had...
Thanks for that - yes, since posting above I have come to the same conclusion. I'm also worried about the bob and weight (yes, an eBike but I still want it as light as poss and the coil would add 3/4 kg over air).
Anyone got any more to add on this subject or DaveW how did you go ahead?
I just spoke to TF Tuned (Greg - super helpful). He also recommended the Marz CR with a Cane Creek spring. Looks interesting for sure but the near 1kg all up weight is a concern (yes, I know it's an ebike but a bit here...
See Rob's video 'behind the scenes' - that is exactly the set up BS have.
That would be the way to do it for motors - just look at what TF Tuned have created out of servicing shocks for people who cannot do it themselves and see where they are now as a one stop supplier/fettler/service centre...
Been following this topic with interest.
I know forums are the places where people (generally) only ever report issues - it does come over though from reading enough topics on here that eBikes with Shimano or Brose motors given time (anything from a few months to a few years) pretty much...
I'd be *really* wary of leaving a Levo unattended. Ever since having my PK Ripper nicked from ROM skatepark in 1982 the only bike I ever leave locked out of sight is my £60 pub bike and even then I get nervous!
Sadly Gold Secure does not mean much in the real world, as an example:
Unless...
Only issue I have with this model is the crazy £1000 premium over the base model - you get a slightly less naff fork, a £100 CRC dropper and brakes that could be swapped over for about £50. And literally a handful more $'s on the mech and saddle. The maths just don't add up to anything...
Just trying to calculate the actual likely change in BB height on the '19 Levos - can someone measure the actual height vertically from the ground through the axle (ie outer diameter) of the stock 29 x 2.6 tyres please?
And if anyone has put on say 27.5 x 2.4/2.5/2.6 tyres F + R (NOT plus) can...
Could not agree more that all we EU guys want is the increase from 15 mph to 20 mph.
I want to leave everything else as is but that 5 mph makes all the difference.
@vadll
Please can I contact you regarding getting the software please? :)
Really liking the look of this with two very important factors;
1. direct to customer flexibility of options and spec with awesome pricing.
2. Shimano motor and new integrated battery.
May well consider this as a purchase and a very definite Levo competitor due to the price/spec...
Loads on this (like loads!) on the '2019 Turbo Levo Owners Thread'. As a prospective owner I've just spent three evenings trawling 49 pages of it... :)
Is anyone here riding a small? A 2019 small Levo is bigger in reach/stack than a 2018 medium!
This ties into a topic I started:
A chat about old school geometry/riding against modern sizing/geometry/handling (Levo content). - EMTB Forums
And a post I made here:
Specialized Levo Sizing...
Very fair points - I suppose I am being a bit naive trying to price the physical parts when a huge chunk of the RRP is funding Specz' R and D dept and staff and the marketing.
