Has anyone done the software upgrades for the EXe? Did you notice a difference? How many upgrades are available now? Mine is hanging in the basement waiting for spring. Thanks, Steve

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

I had a medium EX 9.8 2017 version and I have a medium EXe, both fit me perfectly, I am about 5'6". I tried a small years ago and it felt way to short for me. MTB's in general have gotten longer over the last few years.

Twisted Ankle? how long to recover? Can i prevent it happening again?

I can't help but wonder if you consulted a Doctor? Might be a better place for medical advice than a eMTB forum? Just a friendly thought from Canada eh!

Interesting that you have no standover, mine seems fine? I assume you are on a medium frame?

I am curious why you would shorten the shock stroke and the travel? I have a medium EXe and I am also 5'6 with about 28 inch inseam, it fits just fine. As for pedal strikes, I came from a bike with a very low BB so this seems like heaven.

Tubeless is turning into a right faff

Once you are sorted with the installation bit, tubeless is the best! Some tire installs may need a compressor to get them to seat. And you do need to remember to top up sealant every few months, once again this isn't a big drama once you have it sorted. You will find you get way fewer flats...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

I am wondering if someone from TQ or Trek can say how accurate the displayed power meter and cadence numbers are? Is it measured with a strain type gauge or? Comparable to a 4iiii or Stages meter for accuracy(I realize these companies use gauges on the crankarms)? Others thoughts are...

And Trek doesn't recommend and oval chainring as it will mess with the power delivery, it is somewhere in the literature, I can't find it again.

Mine didn't come with the carbon cranks, Trek did give me a credit to compensate for that. Apparently they can't get the carbon cranks at this time.

I'm going to respectively disagree that it is normal wear and tear. The scuff on the top tube are likely from my shorts rubbing on the top tube, that shouldn't happen. One of chips fell off when I removed the shock pump on the rear shock and the chuck touched the rocker. I also own 2 other Trek...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Hi All, I have a Trek Fuel EXe 9.8 and I am loving it. I haven't really had issues with it outside of the things noted in the forum; the chainring lock needed to be tightened. Thanks to the forum for identifying that issue so that I knew what the solution to the creaking was. I am wondering if...
