Electric Tricycles? Are there any that aren't total rubbish?

Hi I have a friend recovering from significant surgery who has never ridden bicycles much and loves the idea of electric but also would like the stability of a trike. Are there any out there that are not far eastern imports clearly unsuitable for the purpose ie V or cantilever brakes on...

    Shimano e8000 E10 Error

Hi here is the link to the Shimano Manual https://www.eplus.bike/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/eplus-shimano4.01-en.pdf If you look at diagram 2 on page 3 of the manual, it shows the Display connector and the Speed sensor connector. The spare one with a blank plug in it is for DI2 gears. The...

    Shimano XT 203mm disk brakes.

Citroen LHM and just bleeding from the reservoir seems to have worked. :) Will bleed and refill with Shimano when and if the full Shimano kit ever arrives....

    Shimano e8000 E10 Error

Hi The solutions I have seen for W010 are 1 - either battery or motor failure (rare) including torque sensor 2 - Battery fit loose or too tight - search for the online specs. 3 - Poor connections. W013 is usually torque sensor I believe ie pressure on pedal at power on. On my meta power I...

To E, or not to E. That is the question.

Wow my 22 mile Purbeck ride with 2650' if climbing only had 28 miles left mostly in eco too. That's impressive

    Shimano XT 203mm disk brakes.

The fault was a loose hose connector to the caliper. So hoping some oil and a bleed will sort it

    Shimano XT 203mm disk brakes.

Thanks Gary very helpful. What would you suggest I replaced them with. Especially as I've previously had them and been very happy with them.

    Shimano XT 203mm disk brakes.

Not yet - ordered a bleed kit and Shimano Mineral oil as I only have DOT 4 and 5.1 (god only knows what happened to that bottle of Citroen LHM from the 90s!! that I was sure I had stashed somewhere) but it's going to be a while coming. Didn't want to risk a bleed without replacement oil...

To E, or not to E. That is the question.

It's very dry out there in most part but I did find a couple of mud spots!. Very quiet as all the car parks are closed. Did a loop from my house yesterday and did't see many people at all. It should be fun.

EMTB, a way to make flat trails exciting?

Agreed a gentle downhill requires more effort due to the assistance drop above 15mph, even more so those flowing trails where about 17 to 19mph are a gentle rise definitely benefit a lightweight trail bike and fit rider. Also undulating trails the bike weight is tough from about 23mph down to...

    Shimano e8000 E10 Error

On advice of Commencal, turned bike upside down and sprayed contact cleaner liberally into suspect engine connector. After wiping it all off my frame :( cleaned everything up, reconnected and did 1 miles with no issues. How on earth something got inside that connector given how small it is I'll...

EMTB, a way to make flat trails exciting?

Plenty of EMTB recommendations on these threads - seems most people love their EMTBs.

Old blokes who should know better.....

Snap - Windsurf, ski and MTB. Agree with your posts about subsiding sports and food and drink! Would also point out when they develop "close friends" we get relegated. Sadly I don't game but that would also be a good link getting to their interests. It's a great memory doing things together and...
