How do thieves break through metal roller doors?

I like your thinking. My wife and kids have a lackadaisical attitude to security and think it'll never happen to them. On the other hand I'm more akin to Monty Pythons 'Little old lady snoopers' :)

How do thieves break through metal roller doors?

Good to hear from someone with experience in the field. Hopefully some of these noisy break-ins would be thwarted by nosy neighbors.

How do thieves break through metal roller doors?

No danger of that - our dog needs a lot of exercise and gets at least one run through a 4wd track each week. She drives us nuts otherwise. This is one of the more difficult tracks I ride on:

... gonna be hell to pay if his wife goes looking for something in the shed

    Do pawls break often?

A hub with individual springs for each pawl shouldn't let you down, even if one spring breaks. Otherwise the DT Swiss dual floating ratchet design has a good reputation.

How do thieves break through metal roller doors?

I'm familiar with some of those weapons - my wife is American and her family owns an assortment of guns from automatic tactical rifles down to various handguns. About the only thing legal for self defence in Oz is a fire extinguisher or broomstick - can't even have pepper spray. I've ordered...

How do thieves break through metal roller doors?

I use a 10mm chain that my old man used to haul logs with behind a bulldozer - probably slow 'em down by 60 seconds :) The neighbors have security cameras facing our property. I took the pull cord off the manual override. We do have a very...

How do thieves break through metal roller doors?

After reading about theft being rife in the UK and having a couple of recent local break-ins I'm getting a little paranoid about our bikes. I'm wondering how thieves have broken through metal roller doors in an effort to make mine more secure? I store our 3 bikes chained together in a brick...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

My most recent purchase is the 'DaBomb Advance 29' wheelset (AU$400 posted, on sale) which just happen to match the colour of my Cube - done a few rides with no complaints. They have a grub screw which can be removed for lubricating the 6-pawl freehub - handy if you just want to adjust the...

    Post Us Dog' In Pictures

This is our dog 'Soji', a very active Kelpie/GSP cross. She accompanies us on weekly rides through the forest, often on steep 4wd tracks which are closed to traffic through winter. My wife now rides the Cube Reaction and I've got a Cube Stereo 120 to tackle the steepest tracks.
