I have a haibike hardseven 5. Nice bike works really well but now I have got into mtb and have hit some trails I kinda want more. I prefer the look of intube batteries.
So who has one and would you recommend?
spec looks like what I would need going forward. Any problems with these or the motor? Coming from a Bosch gen3 motor and hardtail.
light trail use nothing too mental.
Maybe it is but it’s true
The first picture has a Allen key tightened to 20nm and the other picture you can see the Allen key near the writing and that’s tightened to 10nm.
Sorry. There are Allen keys in both ends. The picture I first put up has started to round off but you can still get the thru axle out via the other end.
It works for now but it’s the cap that the thread goes into which is starting to round off. Can’t find the cap anywhere, or even the thru bolt. That size seems illusive
I have just converted to a narrow wide chainring as well Sander. Been out a couple of times over rough terrain and it’s all good at the moment. Fingers crossed. I can’t help but think it’s going to happen and bracing myself for it.
No, I told them I was having problems with the chain and they replied saying they would recommend a chainring upgrade to this so you can run a narrow wide chainring.
My chain has been looked at and has 2 links removed as he couldn’t remove just one due to fitment but that proved to be too tight...
So the reply from haibike said I could buy a Bosch spider adaptor and chainring combo. which involves bolting a narrow wide chainring to this spider then into the bike.
2k as stated isn’t a lot for a ebike. I have the haibike hardseven 5 which was £2250. Having owned it for 6 months I can say it’s a great bike for normal riding but take it off road to a trail park etc and it starts to show that the spec is weak.
Emailed haibike to ask about length.
Personally I think that the ground I am going over is so rough it’s no wonder it’s coming off. As it’s coming off in the higher gears that’s when the chain is most slack. I will await the answer
Ok so I have no idea how long the chain is meant to be. How would I find that out? Ring haibike I suppose? It’s not been changed that is the correct chain according to haibike and other sites. They did try to remove a link or 2 but apparently it put too much pressure on the derailleur.
