Good looking bike! Sounds like some promising early opinions on the motor too. It's also on the lighter side. Unfortunately the geometry had me losing interest (long seat tube, STA too slack, reach too short). I wonder what the new Kawa geo will look like (I'd guess on the safe/generic side).
Is that a thing? I've never seen a DHR2 in DD in a dual compound. Link?
Looks like it does come in 27.5x2.4 single compound downhill casing form, which is news to me -> TB91051600
I feel like I'm having trouble finding a rear tire with a good combo of grip and durability, durability being the main problem. I've been through pretty much all the big brands in the compounds you'd expect... MaxxTerra, Addix Soft, Gripton, etc. If say, Maxxis, would sell the DHR2 in a dual...
Can’t go wrong with Five Tens. I’m currently sporting a pair of Ride Concepts Wildcats which I really like. Grip is on par with Five Ten’s rubber. They’re slightly harder to put on though and you need to loosen the laces quite a bit beforehand. Only issue I’ve encountered.
Sounds like you're in between sizes. The steeper seat angle will justify the longer reach and will probably feel about right when you are seated and climbing, but when you're descending the STA doesn't really matter since you won't be seated. When you're descending on your Bronson does it feel...
In my email I put that it was the alu version but I'd guess they have the same head tube specs. Maybe shoot them an email to be sure it's the same for the carbon version.
Getting advice on this forum about diet probably isn't the best idea...
But I'll say +1 for a whole food plant based diet. Look at the work of Dr. Greger (nutritionfacts.org), Neal Barnard, Dean Ornish, Caldwell Esselstyn are a few of the best.
Best of luck!

I've been running a -2 works components headset (I leave the bike in the high position) since I first got it. 500+ miles on the bike, no issues. Rides great. Thing is a monster!
A 27.5x2.8 Maxxis tire has an OD of about 28.25 inches. 29x2.5 has an OD of about 29.25 inches and 29x2.3 about 29.15 inches, both Maxxis for reference, other brands could differ I suppose. So no, 27.5x2.8 tires don't have the same OD as 29 tires. And I'd be more concerned about having a steep...
I've also been thinking about this. Geometry-wise it would take the HA from 64 to 63, SA from 77 to 76, decrease reach by about 11mm, increase wheelbase by about 11mm (plus the longer offset of a 29 fork), BB height raised from -14mm drop to about -6mm. Luckily the BB is pretty low to begin with...
Two weeks ago on the GMBN podcast Steve Jones definitively said within 6 weeks there will be a 15kg 150mm e-bike on the market. Does anyone have any info on this? Chances are it won't be available in the states so I guess I should keep my interest at bay, hah.
