Fitted the Miranda Delta SH 155mm crank arms today to ward off rock strikes (pretty gnarly round here).
Had 152mm on my Lapierre which worked a treat and these are just as good :)
Also ordered alloy crank end caps to avoid the crank arms walking off, should be here soon......
On my DH bike I used to boil my brake fluid to begin with! I was dragging the rear brake all the time as I didn't have the confidence to use the front brake, after I learnt to use both, the problem went away!
Spoke to Tftuned and they reckon no issues with a coil, may spring (!) for a Marzocchi Bomber as he really rated them, hope the 450lb spring recommended works for me......
Looking at the Tues range, they're fitted with both coil and air shocks, don't know if that works with the Decoy kinematics though......
Only one way to find out!
Love to fit a coil shock on the Base Decoy, but concerned that the frame kinematics designed around a progressive air shock probably won't work with a linear coil shock? The deluxe shock works "ok", and is only a cheap part so wouldn't pain me to change it out, but coming from a DH bike, miss...
Only around here (Serre Chevalier), but it is chock-full of great routes and has a good bike park too! Contact me if you're out this way and want to hook up!
Hi Tim, I've got a 29" inseam and went for the small, the 125mm seat post is raised 2cm out of the tube and is perfect there. The M has a 150mm post so you'd probably have it slammed, plus the seat tube is 20mm longer on the M...........Or swap it out for a 125!
May give it a try the day after tomorrow, going up the Col du Galibier with some mates tomorrow to watch the TDF, don't want to try anything new that may spoil the day!
Mine arrived 3 weeks ago, about 10 days late but we were on holiday anyway......... Size S, really over the moon with it all, swapped the brakes out with Hope V4 that I had kicking around and a Hope 50mm stem to get a little more weight over the front, never tried the saddle as a lot of people...
Hi guys, first post here! FWIW, I received my Decoy Base 3 weeks ago, size S, partly because I prefer a more agile feel and also with a 29" inseam, the seat post length of the M was borderline......I'm 5'7" btw and had a 2016 Lapierre SX800 before in M which was a tad tall and rode like a sled...
