You can get the FSA spider after market. I have and my wolftooth ring and bash ring just got in. Still need to source the chainring bolts but first wanted to have all 3 pieces in hand. Also, anticipating some mods to the chain guide are going to be required.
Will report back when I get...
That's my understanding (now) as well. Battery has firmware.
And you're battery must have had the latest installed. My battery arrived within the past week or so and did not. When I put it in my bike, battery percentage bounced around weirdly and the bike would not go past the low...
Second battery totally the way to go. But if you want to swap quickly, you've got to buy the adapters for the ends separately. I ordered more bolts as well (cause those are separate too . . . ), but they were stupid expensive for what they are. I should have tried to source those from...
Very few forks are going to feel truly good until you burnish/resize the bushings. It makes a big difference.
I couldn't get along with tune on that Float X. Either harsh off the top or not enough support. Swapped it.
Have had one on order for at least a few months through LBS where I bought my EXe. Don't know part number, but even if I did don't think it would help you get one quickly.
Thanks for the tip. I'm getting along pretty well with the X2 with volume spacers and the Hazzard run with a lot of HSC damping. But I've never had good luck with X2 (or Fox) durability on shocks, so something different is probably in the cards at some point.
And I did play with volume spacers. I was getting full travel pretty easily and felt mid-stroke was barely adequate, but it still felt a little harsh and chattery off the top. So volume spacers weren't the answer. If I could have dialed LSC out or increased HSC, I might have had a shot.
But...
I had a Cane Creek bearing assembly cover lying around and put it on. While the outer gap is still there to some degree, there is definitely more sealing on the interior of the Cane Creek. They are not the same design. I'd bet the same is the case with the Hope. I wouldn't worry any more...
Just the shock! Love the bike! That answer wasn't clear at all. Sorry.
I got a 9.5. The only stock components left are the cranks and chainring. So I had the very basic Float. If I'd had more adjustments, I think the Float could have been good.
I'm swapping between a Performance X2 (M/M)...
Backorder the 104BCD spider that comes on the higher-end versions from FSA. When it eventually gets here, buy a wolftooth chain bash.
I cannot see how ISCG mounts could have been achieved with the motor.
I'm your size (186cm). Mostly arms and legs, with really, really long arms (197cm wingspan). I am on a large with a 50mm stem (single 5mm spacer) and 35mm rise OneUp Bars. I am very happy with my choice. However . . .
I think you are making a mistake staring with reach, especially since...
The paint durability is very subpar. The paint durability, the small pivot bearings, the headset top cap, and the lower shock mount are my only gripes. And, at least on the Matte Penny Flake, there is no Pantone or other color code for touchup paint because of all the layering.
It's a...
At least one "problem" is Trek's bottom backet height numbers in the geo chart.
I haven't had a chance to measure anything else or call Trek, but I did look at the geo chart and do some thinking. I'm ashamed to say that I missed this the first time around. But none of the "professionals"...
Have been having an unusual amount of pedal strikes but thinking I was just getting used to the bike, maybe I needed some more LSC, etc. Just measured, and sure enough: about 333mm in low sitting on the floor with a 150mm Lyrik. Took delivery in late September in United States.
Owned a couple...
I couldn't agree more with the "partial shutdown" at 3% or 5% instead of 10%. Frustrating when it happens at 10% and I'm finishing a ride with jump line laps and never getting more than a 1/4 mile or so from the parking lot. Great default setting, but we should be able to override to the...
I'm not the best person to answer since the EXe is the first time I've ever owned a crankset that needed an extractor, but there is an extractor that is the same size just without the handle. However, there are other extractors with different ODs that fit different cranks. Just make sure you...
