The Update. The Hybrid 3 pawl system has 24 points of engagement, and DT Swiss recommends 24 T Star Ratchet on their Ebike with beefier metal as not to grind it out too soon with the torque. Bottom line, think I'll stick with the 3 pawl system for now. Oh well, good intention, but no benefit...
Good points to all. I do have an old 18t dt swiss ratchet I can begin with, they are also very inexpensive. It from my Yeti. If I use this first, try it out, then my effective cost will go all the way down to $177.00 USD. Think it's plenty worth the try, and not much of a cost. If it blows...
The biggest issue will be the removal of the 3 pawl, but this is where the shop comes in. When you remove it, you can see it's very straight forward, and in the end, hopefully you have a 240 hub and now your styling! I'll document with photos once I get the parts. Finally, you are correct...
Hey all-
Was thinking it would be great to a better set of wheels on my 2019 Base Decoy. Have to say, it gets expensive to buy carbon (not sure of durability), and a new set of aluminum builds will run in the $750 range by the time you get it all together. While searching Youtube I found that...
Wonder if Decoy owners could just organize a "class action lawsuit" for falsly advertising the 700wh battery promise? Maybe this would get someones attention?
Took my first ride on the Zeb Select and totally concur with Kinger. This fork is a game changer, and my, are they going to convert many off the Lyrik into this sweet ride especially at this price point. Not to get me wrong, the Lyrik for enduro bikes all day, but for only .5lb weight penalty...
Was considering the dual postion fork, but just don't think I'm ready to begin adjusting the travel 6-10 times during a ride, plus it's not going to have the opportunity to add the ultimate damper if I want down the road if I'm thinking correctly. It's a great idea, but smashing down the trails...
If they go with a Fox 38 for 2021 plus 630wh battery then the weight will def go up. Just added a Zeb to my 2019 Decoy and thik it going to be really awesome.. I thought I might just sell it, then realized it's an endless game of upgrading and costing yourself a few grand everytime you do the...
Added the ZEB today replacing my Lyrik. We'll see how she rides on my Decoy, but it looks very nice and honestly for the price of $799 US, it's a nice deal. I did get the Select 170. Like the riding positon over the 160. My gosh, does 10mm of height make a difference? Well not much, but...
wondering if the adjustable fork will be a nice addition to the Decoy as you can master up the climbs better (common complaint for the Decoy) then blast down the backside. 180 seems to be the preferred travel down, then going to 150 will keep the front down a bit for the climbs. Decoy owners...
Shimano new battery is 630wh, and Decoy is 540, so waiting for the 700wh batter (if they ever ever come up with it) would be worth it, but honestly, a fully charged 540 gets you one heck of a ride!
Mine was the motor mount, but here we have found a new issue. Some stuff just can't be found in testing and it's a first year thing. Thanks for sharing.
Guess more will be known about this bike in the near future as a reviewable model will be nice. Here is what excites me:
According to Forestal, the EonDrive, which was developed in collaboration with Bafang, weighs just 1.95 kg and churns out 60 Nm of torque. This is possible thanks to a...
Ok, so it was the motor mounts for my bike. They just need to be snugged up a bit. A new one for all. I also have to say, once Again, YT USA was simply awesome. They led me through a entire scenario from top to bottom. First think they say was "sorry", and we'll get you taken care of. They...
