Gen 1 of any bike is going to come with a host of issues to be addressed in Gen 2. Ever wonder why you wait a year or two to buy a new model of a car? So yes, this bike with have issue that will go far beyond anything that a company can simulate in the field. Single screw holding a battery, or...
I would imagine Specialized will have to introduce a real game changer, and will. They are 1 step ahead always. Don't count them out in this game, but yikes, how much will it cost? Rumor has it that the SL will eventually get a big bump in power and let us not forget the display will be updated...
how could the two bikes not feel different. At almost 10lbs. difference, we can honestly deduce that lightweight EMTB's are kinda a different category as the Full Power rigs. It was best described like the difference from a full offroad Jeep Rubicon copared to a Toyota 4 runner. They might both...
Wondering if those buying the Amflow would just choose the base model and build it up with bits and parts you prefer most. To see most replacing the stem, handlebars, rear shock, cranks, tires, and seat, and some even going to aluminum burlier rims, then maybe that's the way to go. Oh, you can...
So ask yourself, have any one of you had any issues with your e bike thus far. For me I have two. A Orbea Rise, motor replacement which is a major thing. At some point I'll need a battery replacement, say a year down the road. The other bike is a Levo S works. To date, needed to change out the...
ok guys, so we're all getting wound up about a bike that gives you a nice boost in power, total upside plus a big battery.... Frame is just ok, nothing awesome.... Downside? Frame support, I'm guessing that will be a real hassle if you crack the frame, plus what about motor support. My Rise blew...
Think I figured it out. I had the motor changed under warranty, and guess what, think they just warrantied with a standard ep08. Think I may have lucked out. Nice! It can always be set back to 60nm. This is good news!
Did a firmware update on the drive unit for my 2021 Rise. Am I reading this correctly, the Turbo mode can be set to 85nm. Am I missing something, it was limited to 60 before.
If you can pick up the base amflow 800 wh battery for $6500 then it's compelling argument to just go with this, ride it for a few years while someone else perfects their models withy this system. Hmmm
I meant that you would put on the cassette and place the chain over the 10 cog and decide for yourself. And if a used system could be had at a discount then that could be sampled and resold if you didn't like. Just my 2 cents.
So it's tight, but I can confirm that it did not rub while I had it. Echairlift? So you mean time on the hight gear, 52 ring? It is close in the 10 ring. All the same, buy any conversion with it fully returnable with the exception of the chain of course.
Just fyi, I put the transmission system onto my Yeti sb130 pedal bike. I decided to address my Rise conversion fully over the next few months, but it was tight, but ask yourself what % of time will be spent the high gear, and when so does it rub? The realistic answer is that e biking mostly...
Thanks for all the feedback and many great points are taken into consideration. I would also say that once you build up this Chinese frame you have little or no resale on this bike. Something worth considering? So you buy a Orbea Rise, with warranty, which I believe the all motors carry a 2...
Ok, so by the time you fully build up this bike, you are in for 5.5k USA? This is assuming non Fox Factory Parts, and wired drivetrain and No Warranty whatsoever. So where do you go to get this thing fixed?? Warrantied? And also, what is your cost to build should you need to bring to local bike...
Your chain will seem very close to the frame on the 10 cog. It may alarm you, but if done correctly it will ever so slightly pass without rubbing. The only worrisome thing that will catch your eye.
