    Levo Learnings

I spoke too soon about my Specialized Command Post. I was getting used to it and thought it was OK. Then it blew out the wiper seal and the return speed got really slow. It was repaired under warranty but meanwhile I bought a BikeYoke revive. I have 600 miles on the original Butcher tires. I...

I also found the fork (Fox Factory 36) to be harsh at spec'ed settings. I have it now at 60lb (I weigh 190 ready to ride) and no compression. It is much better but I worry about bottoming if I ever do a jump or drop. I think the main problem may be inertia of the heavy wheels/tires. The fork...

For the brakes you might try cleaning the rotor surface with alcohol. I always do this with new rotors. Any greasy contamination will negatively effect braking and ruin the pads. I make sure that I never spray any grease or lube anywhere near the bike. After cleaning the rotors you have to...

On the 2019 S-Works the rear hub internals are from DT-Swiss. They use a ratchet system where most hubs use pawls. I have found the ratchets to be much more reliable so I am happy to have this hub. DT-Swiss makes three tooth count ratchets of this type 18, 36, and 54. Specialized puts the 54 in...

    Levo Learnings

I have about 500 miles on my 2019 S-Works Levo. I thought maybe what I have learned so far might be useful to others. Please add what you have learned to help others who own Levo's or may be thinking about one. 1) I just completed a ride with 40 miles and almost 7000 feet climbing while leaving...

Carbon rims on a 2019 Levo

If you are asking for opinions I will toss one out. I would ride the stock wheels until they break then consider a strong alu or carbon set. Carbon wheels are expensive and you might not notice much difference. BTW, I run carbon wheels. I would spend my upgrade money on suspension. That's just...

    Solo riders word of caution

I mostly ride alone in areas that do not have cell phone reception. For 8 years I used a Spot device to send "I'm OK" messages to my wife. We never had a real good plan for when I am not OK and sometimes messages would not arrive. Recently, I switched to a Garmin Inreach Mini. This device uses...

    2019 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

I just got back from dropping my bike at the shop. I had the blinking light problem like above yesterday. This morning it seemed OK but I took it in anyway. Luckily, the shop tech was able to see the blinking. He does not think it is the TCU, power cable, or battery. That only leaves the motor...

Thanks Bhargis. I have the Fox Factory 36. I am running 95 lbs and find the ride a bit harsh. I will try a lower setting.

2019 Specialized Turbo Levo all but Sold Out

I am in California. I ordered an S-Works last Thursday from a local shop. The shop did not have it in stock and had to order it from Specialized. It arrived today (Tuesday). Apparently, not completely sold out. I am very excited to pick it up this afternoon.
