Sprag Clutch failure (Updated title) and how common is it?

I have had two motors replaced for the torque sensor. The first at 1700 miles and the second last week at 2700. Both sounded much like the chain rubbing on the chain guide. I moved the guide so the chain did not go through it and the sound was still there. I have heard that Spec has now...

    2019 Levo Frame Bearing Kit

I wanted good quality bearings for my 2019. I bought individual Enduro Max. 10 pieces of 6801 and 2 pieces of 6901. I used the RRP bearing extraction and press tool. It works great. For the main pivots (6901) and the inside Horst link bearings I used the bearingprotools extractor. Easy.

A Great Time For Bike Maintenance

Unable to ride due to weather or COVID-19? It is a great time for bike maintenance. Your bike will appreciate it and you will improve your skills. This is what I have done on my 2019 S-Works: 1) Check torque on every bolt. What? No torque wrench? An excellent time to get two. You will need a...

Wahoo add ANT+ LEV (Light Electric Vehicle) to Elemnt/Bolt/Roam

I have tried. My Bolt easily recognizes my '19 Levo as a sensor but I don't see any e-bike fields that I can add to the displays. When I rode I noticed that some of my normal fields had been replaced with e-bike fields. Luckily, I had taken photos of the displays so I could put things back the...

    SRAM 220mm Rotor

Here is my setup. It is working just fine but there is a chance that I have not installed it correctly. One pic shows the adapter I am using. Note that there is another type that just consists of spacers. The rounded head bolts came on the bike. The knurled bolts are the 30mm M6. The other pic...

    SRAM 220mm Rotor

I go through a lot of pads due to the steep trails I ride, excessive caution, and probably poor technique. Here is what I use on my Code brakes: https://www.truckerco.com/product-page/avid-code-r-2011-and-newer-organic-semi-metallic They offer pads for many kinds of brakes and are very cheap...

    SRAM 220mm Rotor

I just converted my front rotor on my 2019 S-Works from 200mm to 220mm. It took some research to get the conversion right so I wanted to share what I did. 220mm Rotor: SRAM CenterLine 220mm 6-bolt Disc Rotor with Rounded Edge 40mm Adapter: Avid/SRAM Disc 40mm Post-Mount Adaptor, Fits 200mm...

Does Anyone Actually Like the Specialized Command Post Dropper?

I was starting to get used to the Command Post on my 2019 S-Works and then the main seal blew out. The shop repaired it but I had already bought a BikeYoke. I will keep the Command Post as a backup.

Watch Out On The Carbon Rear Triangle!

I have about 800 miles on my 2019 S-Works and just noticed that the crossbrace between the right and left seatstays has taken a beating. It sits just above the tire near where the shock mounts to the rear triangle. I guess that rocks come off of the tire and hit the crossbrace. That area is...
