Sorry - was reading on phone and a bit too small.
The XS is 110g which is lighter than the original X3 which was 120g from memory. I used one of those until my helmet with it on was stolen. The X2 I am currently running is 95g - the new ones are listed as 89g.
Except for helmet balance the...
Go back through the thread - there is a pic of my night race set-up. Used to carry the battery in a camelback until I came across some smaller, low-profile batteries.
Yup - Med or Large.
By your @bikechiq name I am guessing you are female? That being so, if you are not going for a ladies specific bike I would most definitely recommend Medium.
Can't type p*o*r*n and get through my companies internet filters. We have them real tight to stop the bosses slacking off and watching things they shouldn't.
Exactly.
Late 60's - early 70's for me on a Raleigh like this. Remove the guards, carrier and lights. Fitted the biggest tires we could source and welded a set of motorcycle bars to the stem to get the right 'feel'.
Issues/observations?
Well, toe straps are forking dangerous as when you crash...
Spent a lot of yesterday riding with all sorts of riders on non powered bikes with no issue. Hell, with a couple guys I just had to let them go on a long flat bit as I was struggling to pedal through the 32kph limit.
With 3-4 different power levels and 10-12 different gear ratios it is easy to...
WTF is all this fancy sheet?
Drive home with all your kit on then have wife/partner/offspring/dominatrix/handy homeless person give to a good blasting with your pressure washer. To ensure all smells nice and looks spiffing, once the grunge is all off you can mix a bucket or warm water with your...
That is an Electric Motorcycle - this is not the place to look for advice for one of those ... AND mountain-bike trails are not the place to ride them.
Meh - bought some MC parts from Japan - arrived in country a month ago and then into a big hole. 3 different parcels sent 3 different Japanese carriers - where it turned to shit was when NZ Post or one of their subsidiaries took over.
Meh - why not put my 2 cents worth in this thread .... after all @Zimmerframe has cracked at least 1 funny and not referred to which bike crashes the best....
Switzerland .... hmm, a few Swiss brands to choose from but the BMC Speedfox AMP and Scott eGenius are two I have rode and while I am on...
Anyone looking to fill some time next Saturday - @Duke916 has a ride happening.
Saturday 17th Oct - 10.30 ride start.
Atiamuri to Whakamaru and back. Stop for lunch at Russmans Cafe, Whakamaru (awesome burgers & fries) ... oooo, did I mention some nice cider or ale? then back to Atiamuri.
Just a...
I am around your weight so maybe can add some input. @Gary is 100% correct though - tire volume and casing is the key.
Personally, when I was racing XC and running 2.0-2.1 tires I was around the 30psi range. As I went up in tire volume and started trail riding on more aggressive terrain I...
Just my 2cents worth, but 150/200mm makes no sense. 20 years of MTB and 45+ years of MX - being in on the full suspension MTB evolvement and the long travel MX revolution tells me rear suspension at 80-100% of the front works much better than the other way around.
I agree about the Suntour...
hmmm - sounds like @duk916 and I need too do a kidnapping on the way out to a ride ............. or is that a Grandnapping ..... or is that Brogan grannynapping?
