    Cube 160 Action Team

Thanks, i'll probably also shorten it to around 800 or even 780. Stock 820mm is way to wide.

It’s in the details, the bits and bobs you can’t ride without

Are you sure? I have a Cube Action Team 160 and i believe its a SRAM PC EX1 8-Speed Chain:geek: That tip with the shoelace is pretty awesome, i'v seen that in that EMBN Video "9 Trailside EMTB Fixes and Hacks". (y) I love that channel. :giggle:

It’s in the details, the bits and bobs you can’t ride without

It says on the website that Wolftooth works only with 9, 10, 11 and 12-speed master links and chains. I have a 8-Speed Sram EX-1. Are they so different that its not compatible? Has anyone tried?

    Cube 160 Action Team

Has anyone shortened their handlebar on their 160 Action Team? Its really wide with its 820mm and i always get this chopper like feeling when im on my bike. Not sure if i am totally happy with it's width. However once its shortened, there is no going back so it hard to compare what...

    Navigation & Route Planning

Komoot is also my choice for route planning. (y) Quite simple and a somewhat reliable if you change the route along the way so it automatically edits the route accordingly. I like that you can post pictures of certain spots and post them so others can see the trails or point of interest. Quite...

Can we have CUBE manufacturers section please?

I had three proper MTB so far. 1. Specialized Stumpjumper Expert (2004) 2. Cube Stereo Race (2012) 3. Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 Action Team All were great bikes. The type of bike you buy also has something to do with your country and what bikes manufacturer are common for your region. Cube is a...

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

The german forum emtb-news.de just released a test on Schwalbes e-bike specific tire "Eddy Current" which sounds like a good alternative to Magic Marry and Maxxis Minion and the like. In case you are interested in the article and can read german or want to translaste, check the link below (they...

Let's talk clothing! What's your gear?

I received my dirtsuit from dirtlej and it is really funky ? Quality is top notch, totally durable and a really well thought out product with seamed tapes and good ventilation. However, I think this is not for me. It’s a bit too much for my riding situations because I won’t be going to trails in...

Mud dirt and rain in my future, but should I ride in it ?

It's fun to clean a dirty bike and gives you some confirmation that your ride was a worth every minute of it. :p

    Waterproof Flat MTB shoes

Nice option for a biking boot. Thought about this one already. I still dont understand why adidas made this shoe without gore tex !! Would be the best choice for flat pedals. -> TERREX Trail Cross Protect Currently have the little brother for normal conditions which works great for me. Havent...

    Cube 160 Action Team

Nice, that sounds promising. Thanks! And if you compare the Minion to the Nobby Nic on the back for the same conditions, does is make a difference and is it really noticable for a "normal" mtb rider like myself? The Magic Mary in front is a keeper?

    Cube 160 Action Team

Dawnrazor Which one do have from Maxxis Minion line? They have different DHR and DHF. Are you happy with the Minion in the back? Thinking about changing to Maxxis Minion / Highroller or a Continental Baron for this Fall / Winter. Don't know which tyre would be ideal for rainy / muddy / colder...

Let's talk clothing! What's your gear?

Thats a good point there! I havent thought about that.. I still give it shot and try it on at home and probably will send it back and stick to a standard two piece outfit. Nice Video! (y) Didn't know Endura also has one in their line up. Looks really cosy, but i definately wont be...

Let's talk clothing! What's your gear?

If you think about it, a good 2 layer membrane jacket costs at least €150 and some proper pants also around €150. So its basically the same price and your entire back and front is covered. I spoke to dirtlej and the legs are zip-off so your can also wear it in warmer conditions. I ordered one :p

Let's talk clothing! What's your gear?

That shit looks funky ! Anyone got one? That dirtsuit core edition is pricey but looks bombproof for muddy / rainy conditions. Could be abit overkill and people would give me weird looks, but why would i care as long as i stay warm and dry.
