Just spent my life savings on a factory X2 lol
Interesting thanks
Just the way the clevis system operates and cycles the shock or the mounting eyelets and hardware? I only know rear suspension from my stumpy and the levo so don't know any better unfortunately. I do think the eyelets are...
Because Ebike :)
I find it annoying riding with analogue riders. Even on 5% up hills I can't go as slowly as they do so end up getting off and walking
May replace it with a 32t
Going back to the rattle/knocking people have
I am wondering if its the Fox X2 that makes the knocking and the vibration to go with it? Both the X2 Elite (that came with the expert) and my new X2 factory do this. One member said it might be oil flowing through the compression circuits on a...
Try an Ultrasoft, you'll love that :) - I dont think the MM is noisy and Ive had them on two bikes for 2+ years (current gen and previous, 2.4 and 2.6). Love them, although l might prefer the Assegai DD....
I found the big betty (orange) very noisy and very draggy on an analogue bike. I did...
TF Tuned Lowers with the kashima uppers fitted. Feel great really. Some tuning to be done but really nice (think I'm at 100psi for 14stone with the recommended rebound and compression settings) Got that traction like feeling they are renowned for.
I do think the bushes in both my 38s are/were...
Thanks for these. Really appreciate the info and effort you've put into this thread its been a good read and a lot of help
I've just got an alpine stars bionic v2 which I intended to take to bike parks. Worried it'll be too hot (I ride full face, long sleeve and long pants/trousers in the...
I found GX to be plenty good enough with an XO1 chain in fact that would be my preference as replacement parts are reasonably cheap. I'm after a new bike at the moment to run along the Levo it'll be XT or GX on the drive train
I've run X01 drivetrains they don't seem much better. Shifter is...
Surrey Hills. Very sandy if you're not local
I had two NX chains rust in fact the 2nd was rusted in the box it came in
I've just run XO1 for a couple of years and it's been fine. Treat it with zero respect and it keeps on working
If I'm not mistaken it's the same size shock with a spacer stuck in to reduce travel. My superdeluxe ultimate is anyway and that was the case with the 2019 stumpjumpers that had 210x52.5 shocks. People chopped the spacers out me included
Should be fine either way.
Grease yeah Half that amount in the negative. Still more than enough
The stanchions had a load up in the top too
Be interesting to see what difference it makes tomorrow night
There isn't really. Slight difference in tune.
The X2 factory is better in every way. I'm glad I have that now.
The 38 Factory forks did feel just the same as my Elites when they came back from TFTuned. Buttery smooth
Still full of grease when I opened them up today though.
Cant make my mind up about the Big Betty. Lacks the sideways bite the Magic Mary has and the MM has almost as much traction as the BB, so MM wins in my opinion.
Had an Ultrasoft MM on the rear of my levo for 3 months now and its about worn ready for replacement will swap that out soon. very...
Put the Kashima goodies on it.
200mm transfer dropper on an S4.
That's as far as it'll go but needed a slight twist at the end and it dropped another 20mm or so. Pretty sure it operates correctly. Will see how I get on with it when I next ride it.
Why does my X2 knock as it breaks away? My...
Thanks that's great.
Inset lengths:
297mm on the 210 One Up
320mm on the 200 Transfer (inc. actuator)
I could live with an additional 23mm if the S4 I have matches up with that S5
I went with the transfer to match up with the fancy gold stuff on the stanchions. Ill post up some photos once...
They are. Slight compression tune on the grip 2 elites i had though.
My elites were buttery smooth after TF Tuned had them. But they didn't perform like these
