I am not an expert! But I have some thoughts.
What are the settings recommended by Fox for both Float X2 shocks? Compare with your settings for the 200mm and use the adjusted settings for your 160mm shock. Ride the bike and adjust to get the ride you want.
Alternatively, set your 160mm shock...
There are a lot of people would like to know the answer to that question. Shimano motors are not supposed to be repairable.
There is a very big thread posted on here by a member who has refurbished his e8000 from top to bottom. Well worth a read. I'm sure you will find it if you use search...
What gear am in?
The usual, Shimano AM42 shoes, Endura socks, Shimano Ranger trousers, Shimano long sleeved top, Specialized gloves, Bell Super 3R helmet and Oakley Straightjacket specs, Merino underwear.
I do not disagree with your beef with Canyon. In fact, I believe that you have been unbelievably patient. You may get a better response if you become Mr Nasty.
Even if you can stack adaptors, or find one that works for you, the basic safety question has yet to be answered; are the forks safe with a 180 rotor? I suspect the answer is in the negative, but it would nice to have it confirmed one way or the other by Canyon. Is it possible to cut out Canyon...
I have done similar to that, only without the flat battery and with the motor still switched on. Once I go above 25kph, the assist cuts off. Tarmac roads are easy.
@capposteve To measure your sit bone width, do this.
Lay a piece of corrugated cardboard on a flat surface that is at normal sitting height. Sit on the cardboard for about 5 seconds. When you get up, you should see two depressions in the cardboard. If not then get some thicker corrugated...
Wow! Those are a lot of money! Maybe if they were used daily they would become a value item.
My young grandson's family came to visit every week, so he only got to practice bike stuff when he was with me (none of his immediate family had any interest). I used an old 1200x400mm shelf propped up...
@dsd1036 You may find this tyre width/rim width chart by WTB of use. Page down to the MTB chart, then find your internal rim width along the top (if you don't know it, it will be on the bike spec, or you can remove a tyre and measure it).
Tire & Rim Fit Chart
Let me assume that your internal...
I know you said that you will stick with 2.6" wide tyres. But with that choice of trails, why?
Depending upon your internal rim width, I'd consider going to 2.2" (still tubeless though, it's the best).
You will go further and faster.
The first one that comes to mind right now is to use mode shifting instead of gear shifting. Steady on, let me explain, I am not talking about becoming a lazy bastard!
When I am climbing and need to change gear to an easier one, but I'm already putting full pressure through the cranks; I will...
I went with my mates to Antur Stiniog as part of a two-day outing. The first day was great but I made the mistake of not checking what sort of bike park Antur Stiniog was! There was me on my light trail bike, 32mm stanchions, 130mm travel on a Downhill bike park! I struggled on the blues! One of...
