Icetech mostly - depends on what comes on the bike and how long until I replace Sram with Shimano.
Yes, have tried pretty much every type out there, as well as some custom made ones from the guy who used to do my brakes on my motorcycle race bikes. Always go back to resin for the feel I prefer...
I prefer to keep my rotors nice and straight so use the brake, let go, brake, let go method mostly. Not saying that I wont drag them occasionally, but always drag both front and rear to be more balanced. Occasionally on some really steep, scary transition roads, the build of the road means...
^^ THAT ^^
@jonmat nailed it. Hell. I am an old fart but on some trails I have gone into a corner with the forks close to fully compressed and the rear wheel off the ground. The front is where your major stopping happens - even at a quiet pace.
Was looking at a build but constantly was getting huge pricing issues with the battery. Don't want to build my own as the eyesight is crap these days and the hands not really steady enough for fine soldering etc. @Mabman nailed it with the battery suggestion - have come across something...
Depends on how wide the trail is. If it has a little width I start just gently angled, but if narrow I will back the bike off the trail into the crap, grab a handy branch or something firm then get up on my pedals before resuming the climb. As @ilostmypassword said - drop the seat a bit. Me, I...
My initial thought is that the frame was not designed for those forks. A lot of people adding double clamp forks run into various issues, but talking to a couple DH guys, this is known on conventional DH bikes as well. Hope he swapped forks back before trying a waranty clain.
Possibly knock something up with a piece of wood I expect - at least to get a quick reference.
Cut it the length of the battery then you can make allowances for the fittings.
One of my frustrations as a Yankiwi is that when I am over there my Kiwi accent really pulls the chicks but fades after only a few months. Over here I sound not American, not Kiwi - kind of like an Okker/Canuck mismatch. Sadly it lasts way too long.
But I digress. There are far too many BLM...
I would be happy with 65km on my 625Wh without excessive conservation attempts (riding power off).
504Wh Shimano or Spesh I was around 40-42km. With the Spesh 700Wh or the Bosch 625 I can do 50km normal riding or 60 if I use mainly Eco.
Rather than continuing to up the battery size ... AND bike...
Sadly, that was in my moto and band lifetimes. To be fair, in the band days not only was I often drunk, but also far too used to waking up in all sorts of towns I never expected to be.
I have slimmed down a lot since my 118kg weight, but even then I found 38s overkill. They are so rigid they made a lot of riding unenjoyable. 36s work prety well at my current weight and agressive riding.
Saying that, my temporary aquisition of an Avanti Hammer eLT2 has Rockshox ZEB Charger R...
