The sale hasn't hit here in the US yet, but my guess will be in the next few days. The same sale they had a few months back to clear stock for something coming, but was halted as we know.
No, there not actively looking to ticket you. They enforce riding/poaching illegal trails more then they do Ebikes. I may see a ranger out on the trails 2-3 times for every 50 rides or so.
You are correct as I live in OC and have been riding my Rise for just over a year now without a concern. During week days the ratio that I see is about 60% Ebikes and a little less on the weekends, so it’s really a non issue.
There’s a few trails around OC where Class 1 are legal, like San...
For the majority of us riding these bikes as intended trail, all mountain, blue/black runs, 40-42 pounds is the sweet spot with still being light and agile. You cannot get these SL bikes under 39 pounds with a piggy back shock, fox 36/Lyrik, 1700-2000g wheels, 1,000-1,200g tires and 4 pot...
For sure. $8700 with carbon wheels is hard to beat. Though it should have a Lyrik Ultimate. 10,000 for the Pivot X01 build and it has a GX cassette and KMC chain. Really Pivot? Cmon now!
The current Rise will not be considered outdated just because a more enduro type of Orbea is coming out. Let's say 170/160. Two different bikes for different types of riding.
Nope. The type of bike shouldn’t matter, should it? To me it sounds like the chainring is paired specific to the chain. Either chain can be run with either cassette.
I’ve seen my bike shop build a mixed AXS drivetrain with an SRAM chain/Shimano cassette. You just loose the hyper glide shifting that you get when using a Shimano chain paired with a Shimano cassette.
Lighter wheels, tires, dropper, drive train, saddle, pedals, stem, bar, change to Pike 150(don't go below 140 minimum). This should only cost you an additional $3,200 or so.
