Mainly my thoughts. I would keep the fox 38 on the Expert vs the Zeb and I was wondering how the Traverse wheels stack up against the I9 with 1/1 hubs. With the Expert I would get the FOX X2 shock that I've never tried. Shimano XT 8120 will be going on either bike. I have a demo planned this...
How are the Traverse alloy's that come stock on the expert mode? I'm trying to decide between the Comp or the expert. If I buy the Comp, I may upgrade the wheels to Industry Nine Enduro S alloy wheels and install a Zeb. AXS/X01 cassette and chain will be upgraded on which ever model I choose to buy.
Let’s go back to the Rise and wasn’t the marketing hype weight just under 37 lbs. When in reality the real weight of the M10 with proper Ebike parts, XT brakes, Fox 36, DPX2, ect. is almost 41 pounds(no pedals)depending on tire/ wheel selection. So, we’re talking a good 4 pounds above the...
Controller sticking, breaking. Motor casing ring coming lose, motor creaking. Selling of these bikes being stopped due to the various issues, whatever they are exactly.
Mainly looking for a plusher rear suspension and wanting to try something new with a different ride feel just because I can and I'm curious. I will demo the Pivot Sl when my LBS gets one and they also sell Specialized, so demoing the SL will also be possible. I would also like to ride the Trek...
Let's get back to the SL and how quite the motor is. The first Ebike I ever rode was the SL back in Nov. 21 when I was curious about ebikes after having some knee issues and my demo was a 26 mile ride on my familiar trails. It took the pressure off my knees just enough and had me grinning with...
Another analogy is the way snowboarders were treated by skiers in the beginning. Now that's it's taken a 180 degree turn snowboarders could give a rats ass about skiers and most now a days don't even know about the feud that skiers created in the early 90's. Let's all hope that MTN Biker's grow...
The same reason we drive 5-10 mph over the speed limit, because we are hypothetically doing nothing wrong and still being safe, yet we are considered breaking a law.
It all depends on what his climbing exceptions are and what bike/bikes he‘s directly comparing this bike too. For instance I have my Rise in boost set to 56nm max torque for climbing which is just enough to take the pressure off my knees when the climbs get steep.
I haven’t been riding much...
Thanks for the offer. I would love to if I had the time, but would also prefer to ride it on my familiar trails, which will give me the best comparison. I still like my Rise, but always have the itch to try something new.
Not true, or I wouldn’t have posted this question. Not too many(if any) bike shops offer you one of their bikes in stock(for sale)unless it’s strictly built as/ for a Demo purpose.
I know where they are in stock and they aren’t for demo.
Anyone know of a bike shop in the Southern California/ Orange County where you can demo one of these bikes? I’m currently on a Rise would love to see how one of these compares for myself.
FYI, From my experience, if you email Oneup directly, they will ship you a new bearing kit under warranty. Just hope you aren't paying for this kit through your LBS?
This makes no sense to me. Running the mino link in the high position raises the BB, doesn’t it? Going to a 160mm fork also raises the BB, so if anything, wouldn’t you want to run the mino link in the low position to keep the BB the same.
For instance on my Rise the BB is low and the 160mm...
