    Shimano EP8 Firmware

My new bike has Shimano EP800 motor and firmware 4.1.5 I see 4.1.6 is out, do we know what capabilities are released or removed with 4.1.6? Recent releases removed access to some key features, e.g. market settings, so I am not sure if I should even bother [emoji2369]

    Bosch Domination?

I agree completely and I fit described profile. I have higher-end eMTB with SP8 motor and I ride it on low-power setting to get a better workout. Couldn’t care less about trail dominance, I like the fonts & colours on the frame, I am getting fitter and I lost 10kg in the process. What’s not to like.

    Bosch Domination?

That proves that currently, Bosch has the best logistical support, and the best riders gravitate to it.

    Orbea Rise US region change

@finky, I have done downgrades using emax procedure you listed here… it is much easier to follow, at least for me. I don’t have a PC, so I created windows partition on my MacBook and I used my iPhone, very simple procedure if you follow emax instructions.

Hi @carlk , Great OP, awesome scenery. Send more pics, there is a thread for that. PS. I like your rear spoiler, I take it down-force is a factor [emoji12]

    Bosch Domination?

I for one am delighted that Bosch is starting the eMTB arms-race. It is a high profit margin business, competitors will have to respond and it will drive innovation. If ebikes are regulated on max Watt and assisted speed, there is an opportunity in other areas, e.g. power delivery, or get rid...

    Review Ducati MIG-S

My parting impression of the MIG-S. 1. Phenomenal eMTB, simple to maintain, repair and most importantly Ride! 2. Feels solid on the ground and has great handling, inspires confidence on difficult trails, important for new e-riders. 3. Shimano E8000 motor is excellent, more customisable than...

    Review Ducati TK01-RR

My friends ask me: is the new bike any better, or just new fonts and colours [emoji12] Well, the bike is a better machine, better specs all around: new SP8 motor, Shimano transmission, 630Wh battery, stronger brakes, better Ö suspension. Also, gen I, was my ‘learner eMTB’ and now that ‘training...

    EP8 with 630 battery maximum range ?

Yes, I have done today 97km today and I have 62% battery charge left. Admittedly, I have done first 40km with motor-off, but that means that 55km used only 38% of the batt charge. The 95km race had ascent of 3660ft and descent of 3661ft

    BHF - London to Brighton

Some interesting info is emerging. I have done BHF L2B race today, I clocked 97km in total, but iirc the race ended at 95km. I still have 62% battery state, so I could have been much more aggressive with the use of Power! I could do the entire 95km in Eco, with occasional Trail for good measure...
