661 do a light weight short sleeve top and under shorts, Swear by the shorts and started using the top this season as I have switched to a fanny pack instead of a backpack, so a bit of (mental) back protection from the top.
They get washed after every ride 3 times a week and are still good...
One of my riding buddies had this problem with his '19 bike. I gave him my old E800 mode selector switch to plug into the display and he was able to connect first try.
As noted elsewhere on here, seems Shimano have not updated firmware to recognise E700 controller and that's causing the issue.
I've been using this folding Thule rack for the last five years. It has been brilliant. Can't imagine an E-bike on a roof rack would work out well.
Only takes two bikes but there's plenty of room though I had to extend the tow ball by about 4" to avoid problems with the van rear...
I find the Light Action mmx Wolftooth/E6000 set up almost perfect, but I haven't tried the E7000 controller yet.
Nice to be able to toggle thru the E6000 to check the time etc.
Hi, I wouldn't describe the bike as "poppy" but if you can jump well already I don't think you will be disappointed. When I ride steep ews trails I try to get my weight forward for more control and the increased mass around the bb seems to help stability and reduce otb moments.
My riding group...
Hi Boosted,
I'm 5'10" with 31" inside leg and ride a large E-Sommet VR.
The bike fits me fine, I've ridden about 1000 miles now and I'm still very happy with it. Size wise when I first got the bike I felt that the dropper needed to be inserted about 10mm more for me to be 100% comfortable in...
In my first week of e-bike riding it was immediately clear that I had to make my Strava rides private as I was getting KOM's on climbs that I could never even dream of on a normal bike. It's a pity as my downhill times are pretty similar between e and normal. I have to admit that I enjoyed the...
I've had the Mobi V17 for about 4 years although I think it had another name when I bought it from CRC.
It's a good unit. Pressure is not too much, so good for the bike and rinsing off the car. Never even thought about using it to shower ffs :)
Having re-read the IATA rules it is clear that EJ are giving me poor advice. 160wh is definately the max for Lithium Ion batteries as carry on luggage.
Couriers are not interested either. Looks like I'll be taking the Capra for one last fling. Next year I'll drive over :)
I'm going to the Sierra Nevadas in September, flying with Easyjet to Malaga, and I had heard some contradictory info regarding the carrying of ebikes/batteries.
Today I took my battery (Shimano BT-E8010) into EJ customer services at Glasgow airport to try to get a definitive answer; here's what...
Received and fit my Miranda cranks today. I went for the 150's..
Just back from a two hour ride thro' my local trails. As mentioned above you immediately feel a difference in cadence and that you are putting in more effort for any given situation compared with the 175 Shimano's. However they...
I have had an E Sommet VR for a couple of hundred miles. I'm a reasonable rider despite my age :). The bike is as capable as my Capra on the downhills if not as much fun. The bike is more stable due to the extra weight but this tends to reduce mobility (pick a line and stick to it).
I met a...
Only real continuing niggle for me with this bike has been the interference between the E8000 controller and the dropper. I have my dropper lever on my other bikes under the LHS bar and am completely used to it. Tried a lot of configurations but in the end bought an E6000 controller.
This...
Just poor technique.
Made most of the climbs tho which are pretty near impossible on a regular bike. Lot of fun. Doesn'
t feel like an easy option..I'm completely fecked :)
First breakage :( Destroyed the rear rim coming down the Cobbler this evening. Think it was at least (more than) partly my fault. There are hundreds of drainage channels across the path and they need clean bunny-hops. Rear weight is difficult (for me) to manage good hops.
Anyway, I'm thinking...
