    I am a carpenter so all things wood are good, have you considered a bike work stand, remove the hanging arm and make one out of wood (so it doesn't scratch the bike) and find a place on the frame where the bike can hang.

    I posted this else where but I use Scotch rubber splicing tape (self vulcanising) for frame protection, cheap, indestructible and never comes off. I also use it to make 2 or 3 rubber dampers around the spokes on my brake discs, the end of noisy brakes forever also less vibration on discs...

    My tip. I haven't seen this mentioned much before but I use Scotch rubber splicing tape (self vulcanising), cheap, indestructible and never comes off. I also use it to make 2 or 3 rubber dampers around the spokes on my brake discs, the end of noisy brakes forever also less vibration on discs...
