I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

The bush mechanic in me says mounted with oring is better much less chance of damage if it does get a bit of dirt or stone inside. Use a bit of dish washing liquid to lube the orings for mounting and wash with water once it's assembled so it dries out. Where can I get one?

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Simple solution. Someone nearby must have a 2019 Levo borrow a wheel photos and lawyers. As you know Alu 2018 fits 29 in the rear so it is only a problem on carbon. Easier if you can go to a local Specialized shop and do it there. Different places different laws but I would insist on getting a...

    Shoes.

I use my hiking boots summer and winter, they are years old and high quality. High end hiking boots have a stiff sole, a lot of support inside and generally waterproof. After years of being clipped in I find higher sides protect my ankles and the heel helps with placement.

What chance of selling a Levo 500wh battery if we upgrade to the 700wh

I think the price is going to be pretty country dependant, here in Switzerland they are Chf 8/900 so 5/600 pound for 2018 models. Warranty should be covered every where so might be worth looking at shipping costs to sell abroad if you have a contract there.

Levo / Kenevo (gen1) Range Extender thread

So only parallel, I wonder weather other batteries have similar controls in them which would restrict their use as a simple slave battery.

Levo / Kenevo (gen1) Range Extender thread

Thought bubble, how much brain/control/memory is in a Specialized battery? Looking at range extenders and thinking if it would be possible to use a different brand battery as an extender with a cable direct from the (Shimano, Bosch) battery to the motor. It would require a custom harness from...

Looking for advice purchasing my first emtb

In your circumstances I would strongly consider the Levo if you have a good LBS. By the sounds of it you are not going to put any to it's limit so components are probably less critical than controlling the assistance. The Levo with Mission control and Blevo is probably best placed to tailor to...

Does anyone else ride in "off" mode?

Vegan MTBiking! ??? I don't see the point of running with it off but only use higher levels to get where I want to ride and then eco mode through the forest. I think the variety of opinions here is great to give us new ideas of doing the same stuff differently.

    High Mileage Winner.

There has been a few threads on warranty and motor bearing failures so how long do motors last? I saw an advert for a 2016 Sworks Levo which mentioned that it had covered 8000kms and was still on the original motor and battery! So who is the winner with the highest mileage on their bike?

    Levo 2018 brake upgrade

No one knows the trick with the tape, I invented it after doing a vibration analysis course for industrial machinery! The rubber stops or slows high frequency vibrations which create the noise.

Choosing a bike for my son

Now you have got me started and I don't need more work! Yes something like that but cheaper! I had an old set of Rock Shox Psylos SL with 20mm axle I put on one bike but anything about 1.8kg would work, if you come across a set of 27.5s then you can put a 26"wheel on for now and are future proofed.

Choosing a bike for my son

Good choice. Now you can start on the upgrades ;-)) As the head angle is pretty steep and it is a coil fork you could look at a second hand Rock Shox SID (maybe a 27.5" fork) and 26" front wheel, you will save a kilo or so and improve the handling, it is also a good way to increase the size as...

    Levo 2018 brake upgrade

I don't think you need a brake upgrade but different brake pads in different seasons (wet or dry) make a big difference, more information here. Organic or Sintered - EMTB Forums Also using the tape below to make 3 "rubber dampers" on the spokes of the disc will markedly increase pad life and...

    Hacking ! Why ?

So what is the situation with some one wanting to fit 27.5s to their Levo, can you as a retailer reset the software to suit? Is this hacking? Maybe for others on a commute, just pump up your tyres, a 10er will get you a tyre gauge 50% of your problem solved.

    29 er carbon wheel set

Well with winter coming I am thinking of running a 29" front wheel on a 2018 Levo in a 2.4 to 2.6 wide profile, I am having a few moments on wet off camber root gardens! I would say most of this is lack of rider skills but if I can band aid that it would be good, any feedback on this combination?
