That's great news Manu. I share a similar feeling with steeling the info. I'm quietly working on some improvements and new features that I'll look to share in the future, but I'll likely withhold the code and/or specifics for exactly that reason.
Looks like they're picking up the mode changes...
Yep, confirming that worked a treat - thanks very much. All paired up and working now. I'm guessing the requirement from Bosch that states you have to take it to a dealer is simply 1) so they avoid having to troubleshoot people's smartphones/apps, and 2) to get customers in the store to maybe...
That's outstanding news, as I was dreading a trip to the dealer. I did try pairing already actually - phone successfully paired with the new module but Flow wouldn't recognise it. I didn't try deleting the pair of the old LED remote though, I'll give that a go.
Mine just turned up yesterday as well. I haven't fitted it yet but I'm disappointed about the lack of adjustability in the mount. I use solely my middle finger for braking (a habit I've never been able to lose) so my brake mount is located quite close to the grip, ~10mm. Sadly the Purion200...
Definitely give this a try. If the contacts in the reed switch are not facing the magnet they'll be pulled in the wrong direction as the magnet passes, ie not towards each other.
If you're 90deg out of alignment (worst case) the switch can behave erratically.
When it begins introducing the delayed signal, it does so gradually over five wheel revolutions. There's no possibility of repeats in this case. There is however a chance of a repeat when slowing to less than ~5kph as the delayed signal is substituted immediately for the real signal. If the...
Ahhh ha. Further to Manu's thoughts earlier in this thread, I wonder if your issue might be with the magnet (and its orientation) you have mounted. While the alignment is spot on, the as the magnet passes the reed sensor it will first show one pole, say positive, and then as it continues past...
Thanks for the info Alumi.
Intermittent events like this suggest to me that it's magnet/reed sensor related, causing the electromagnet to fire twice in quick succession, resulting in spuratic speed readings and the error above.
A couple of things to try:
With the rear wheel off the ground...
Thanks Tatane.
Frankly the main reason I'm reluctant to accept payment for any further devices is two-fold. Firstly, the initial batch revealed compatibility challenges with different motor variants (CX vs non-CX). I ended up issuing a couple of refunds for this reason to buyers who could not...
Hi Pierre,
Thanks for the kind words. Sorry, no I don't have any more available for sale. However I'm more than happy to help where I can if you have a go at making your own.
All the very best.
Well, as it turns out your motor firmware is far ahead of everyone else's, so you're treading new ground!!
I agree with your assumption, but I can't prove it :)
