New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

I would guess, to make a product that can NOT be derestricted, would be commercial suicide. We already know there will be a version that has a higher limit of 45kph so I imagine a simple software hack will suffice.

New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

With all due respect sir, I believe you may be wrong on a few points......Many an E-Bike motor are geared so that the Chainring spins faster than pedal RPM. Also, it still has to transmit all that torque from the motor to the back wheel. Most of the reviews I have read suggest equal power if...

New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

I wonder what the drag is like on a system like this and/or the energy efficiency? I see one of the bikes with it fitted has well over 900Wh battery. Should finally move the game on though.

160mm crank arms and new Shimano Pro crank arm boots.

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

Yes the cable will fit. I haven’t tried it connected with only one cable connected but should work. Worst case, move it to “in line” if it doesn’t work. If your display works, the EN’ should work.

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

Yes. Just use the button on the front to change the mode. Bluetooth to another device for recording your ride and/or displaying ride information.

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

I have a small, dual button controller on the left hand side of the bars between the grip and brake lever clamp. The cable is internally routed to into the frame and connects to the EN’ and then onto the motor.

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

The short answer is Yes. the display will most likely be either directly connected to the motor or in a loop that goes to the motor. Like you, I wanted rid of the display, at first I ran a Garmin computer on the bars for a display but now I just run a Garmin Watch as I much prefer the “Clean...

battery info etc on apple watch ?

I ended up in all sorts of trouble, couldn’t connect my watch, or my phone and somehow ended up on the Shimamo app to see if it would connect which updated the motor and now isn’t compatible with STUnlocker. So frustrating.

Garmin watch data field for Shimano STEPS EMTBs

So I can have Speed, Heart Rate, distance, E-bike battery level, E-bike assist level all displayed on the watch? Would the watch use my speed, cadence and HR sensors via ANT+?

Garmin watch data field for Shimano STEPS EMTBs

This all sounds very cool......I am considering selling my Garmin Edge 1030plus and getting a Garmin watch. I have 2 bikes though, an E-bike and a regular MTB. I want the watch to work with both if possible. Basic functions I need on display is Time, speed, distance and heart rate (inc max HR if...

Anyone else not sold on their new eMTB?

My first Ebike was a Trek Powerfly last September (2019) and I didn’t like it very much after a few rides...... Then I derestricted it and it came alive. Sadly build quality and reliability got in the way and it was replaced with a Santa Cruz Heckler. The Heckler is a totally different bike to...

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

OK......So I added the separate Garmin speed sensor and sure enough the speed and distance are now correct on my Garmin/Strava. Thanks for the tip Gary....(y)

I will give this a try on Sunday.

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

The wu111 is only for Di2 I believe. I see no reason why the EN100 wouldn’t work sided by side if your display has no way of conflicting with it.

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

    Yes. It didn’t work.

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

Yep.....I just wanted the Garmin as the display and not that silly display on the handlebars. When all the other stuff is done I will tacle it again and hide it in the top of down tube.

    Heckler > 2018 Levo

I've just received mine this week......Went for the S spec in the end. I had bought a Trek Powerfly 9.7 LT last September but after 2 motors in 1600 miles and it needing another one I got a full refund instead. To be fair, I never got on with it. Seemed poorly designed. And then the motor was...

    EW-EN100 (Junction A)

Well, you could buy an extra cable and a coupler and hide it in the frame really easy.
