    From where we parked the first 20 mins or so down to the Pedalway woods was mainly forestry roads for speed, and returning once we got to the sculpture trail we just hoofed it as we were running late. In between was all the good stuff..

    Yes, and definitely a good place to start. The Verderers is worth doing and it gets a bit more spicy towards the end as you drop back downhill, and then the three separate downhill tracks are rated 1* 2* and 3* to cater for all levels.     If you don't want to carry a bulky key then get a blade cut and lock the full key in the car. Usually means the alarm is not set so don't leave anything in the car on view.

    The home made tools and tricks thread

    I use a short length of string with a small hook at each end made from sturdy copper wire; one hook sized to fit round the pedal where it bolts to the crank (or through the hole in the crank end if the pedal is removed for transport) and the other smaller to hook to the end of the derailleur.

    Lovely lightweight aluminium Orange 5 MTB for sale; Some age related scratches but low mileage. Fantastic smooth ride but not used for 2 years, medium size suits ~5'8" rider. Recent new chain and brake pads.
