    Hi from Croatia

"Keep on trucking" as the hippies used to say. "It's never too late to have a great adolescence!" is my motto. (Oh, yeah, I'm 79 and buying my first E-MTB for hunting here in Nevada. 2 wheel drive, 2 batteries and dual suspension.) I'm tired of all the "hunters" on ATVs chasing the big game into...

NEW BATTERY TECH COMING FOR E-BIKES?

Most of us with e-bikes have likely read or heard about the frantic search automakers are undertaking currently to make "solid state' batteries for their vehicles. Japanese makers are underwriting Panasonic, Korean Hyundai/Kia with Samsung and VW/Porsche/Audi with an American company. Q: Will...

what are your feelings on riding trails that are in USFS areas?

As an American taxpayer I feel that AS LONG AS E-MTB RIDING ON A TRAIL IS NOT DETREMENTAL TO THE TRAIL we should be permitted on USFS trails. HELLS BELLS, the USFS actually BUILDS the roads for logging and oil and gas companies for "resource extractor AT TAXPAYERS' EXPENSE! So IMHO they can put...

Rain proof cover for bike rack

I'll put the cover on whern I'm going 5 to 20 mph on gravel and dirt roads where the dust is ATROCIOUS. The batteries will be in my car but the electrodes on the bike will be temporarily covered with masking tape. The dust is literally like talcum powder - only finer. That's why the cover I...

Rain proof cover for bike rack

It slowly dawned on me that if I carried the bike cover I could use it as a shelter for hunting in an all-day rain where you just sit and use your range finding binoculars - and nibble on snacks, curse the weather and TRY to find a comfortable position, knowing full well you will only find a...

    Cold weather goggles

I'll be using SMITH ski goggles on my ski helmet. Ski helmet are much warmer than bike helmets and you can still wear a full face balaclava under them.

Neoprene Battery Wraps for Cold Weather?

I'm getting a hunting E-MTB for hunting with 2 wheel drive and therefore 2 batteries. The one on the down tube (52 V, 17.5 Ah) is about 16 inches long (40 cm.)and the rear battery under the rack (52 V, 14 Ah0 is a flat rectangular battery about 12 inches (13.5 cm.) I found a 4.5 mm thick...

Rain proof cover for bike rack

I need this to protect my monster E-Cells E-MTB from the horrendous dust when I'm on Nevada's gravel and dirt backcountry roads. That means it needs to go UNDER the tires and secure the bottom keep dust out. Been looking on AMAZON and the most expensive covers average about $24. which is...

My advice to you: avoid aging!

My "Boys" seemed happy on the skinny racing saddle I used back in the day (80s and 90s) when I raced my Canondale bike. I expect the fat saddle on my big E-Cells all wheel drive e-mtb will suffice given that the bike has dual suspension - and that I may even get a shock absorbing seat post.

    Waterproofing your ass?

Just looking at my Gore-Tex rain pants and thinking of coating the inside of the ass with Seam Seal to prevent "wett butt". This is for hunting, not just normal trail riding. Seam Seal comes in tubes and is meant to seal tent seams and seams on rain gear. It works very well and is durable. I've...

What will be your next emtb? Lightweight or full fat?

terb, Then, at 95 pounds/43 Kg,, you could not go for my E-Cells 2 wheel drive, 2 battery, dual suspension monster bike with its 4" wide tires (tyres?). But also you likely don't hunt and need all that power and traction to haul out the boned-out meat of a western US mule deer or much larger...
