Cheers man. I'll see what they come back with. I had the same kit for my 22 Rise which has now gone back to my mate who i borrowed it from. So he's now got the new linkage and i'm stuck with the older one LOL. I don't mind massively in terms of price and buying it as i got the bike massively...
Looking at the parts list it's coming in at over £400, how did you manage to get it for that price ? I'd happily pay £130 all day.
I've pinged my LBS to ask them if they'd mind sending Orbea the question on price.... I can get mine 100% quite easily with a strip, clean, retorque, but i can't...
Mine are opposite. I sweat a LOT when i ride.... But when on Ebike i don't sweat at all, i just sit and use the power. Up, across, over, power.. but i don't try and push at all. It's not what the ebike is for.
Depends what you're doing/expecting i guess. We run SRAM HS2 rotors for DH racing which are £65 a pop.... that's a LOT... but braking really really matters sometimes.
They're OK with it, but TBH it's a big heavy beast to try and get up onto the lift. If you recall from previous visits there's a bit of a technique getting them on some of the lifts and an ebike is going to be harder.
My mate with his Rail has just bought a Specialized Status specifically for...
Looking at a Cascade to resolve the wandering linkage arms issue we have on the Rise. I bought a 2023 but it's pre-new-2 piece linkage and it seems Orbea are getting very fussy at the moment on replacing the linkage with the 2-piece under warranty and needs a lot of persuasion.
Weirdly my 23...
There's something not quite right here, i go through pads about once a year.
FWIW we used to run Uberbike Race Matrix but have recently swapped to Galfer Pro due to improved performance. They're expensive as heck at $30 a set though...
I've been talked into Black Powder next weekend as we're there with the boy racing, but i'm riding on the Friday and a mate or two are also now joining in. He's better than me but assures me that i can ride it OK... (that may be a relative term). So we'll see what happens. Although the rock...
We watched the Worlds at Les Gets last year, it was honestly amazing !!!! The boy had broken a bone 2 weeks before we were due to go riding there, so we changed the trip to going to view the Worlds... The scenes, well, they were just bonkers, daytimes were epic, nights were epic, just amazing...
I managed to get my mates Rail over a fence on Sat about 4'6" high, to be honest it was right on the border of viable. His is a Rail7 so not the lightest
Only caught up with this late as we were out racing as well, but what a race, what a track... it's just epic.
I thought Josh Carlson was way better than Ric on the mic as well....
Rider of the day for me was Finn, bloody impressive to take 2nd from not having ridden at all on Sat... Awesome...
Didn't know they did Demo bikes in truth mate. Although it would depend on how long you can get one for as obviously it'd only be Swinley really if only for an hour or two.
I'd be massively interested in Demo-ing a Specialized of any description if that were an option, I've only tried an older SL and one Kenevo that was 2 sizes too big for me. But a Specialized is one of the 'top of my want list' bikes, but like everything in life it would be really needed to...
Just went to remove the chainring to get to the lower bearings as the bike is a bit creaky at the moment, i suspect it's those. Sadly the tool i bought for the slightly older Rise is completely different !! ARRGHHHH.
I need a
I guess we're going shopping for a tool now.
Can't argue with that matey. It's even more so as not only do they all deserve it but they all massively give credit to the winners/others. Even if deep down inside of course they're gutted, they all do actually seem really pleased for eachother when results go well for them.
