It'll take me less than an hour to swap everything over from the Cove to a new frame.
That said, having looked at frames briefly on ebay they really are silly money, though I still don't know if the E10 is boost or non-boost, or whether the axle length makes any material difference....
There's...
Yeah, not really but I thought that might get some attention!
What I actually want to do is change the frame/forks on my non-electric bike (currently a Cove HJ....I won't put the full name for the sake of propriety...) to a frame/forks that can use the wheels from my Cheeb, so that if I fancy...
I can post you the forum one, but unless someone has released the firmware that allows parameter changes, or you've got a v2 controller with this already installed, I think you're going to be incredibly dissapointed with the things you can change, as it's basically nothing!
Is anyone aware of a site where it's possible to buy the new DPC245 display? Looks like a nice replacement for the DPC241, which is a bit of an ugly thing.
Note: I've looked at Aliexpress and can't see it there.
Buy something cheap*, metal and secondhand. That way you'll still have budget for any parts that might break. Ride it a bunch, lose some weight, sell it for close to what you paid for it, and invest in something more expensive once you've 1) proved that you're going to get some use out of it...
Nope doesn't work for me either. I have just contacted Bafang through their support page to ask whether it's possible to have a firmware version for the M600 that supports the parameter changing that is now offered for the M510 through either the Bafang Go+ app or BESST Pro. I'd suggest that...
To me that would suggest an issue with the connection between the motor and the display, as that's the cable that you remove to plug the BESST tool in. Pull it out, give it a blow at both the cable end and the display end, and a squirt of contact cleaner if you have some, and then give it a...
In other words, it looks like you probably haven't updated your hosts file correctly.
Triple check you've followed all the instructions, particularly those relating to the hosts file. I did write a really simple list, so check my post history to find it.
You've almost certainly done it wrong. I do believe the entry required in the hosts file has changed with newer versions of BESST but this is documented here.
If I'm being really harsh, I'd suggest that people who struggle with bypassing the login should not be using the BESST app. There's...
I had exactly this issue and was able to fix it by doing what @shikhov states above, though in my case I typed in the full SN as I happened to have a screenshot of it. Nice to know that only "CR" also works! Scared the bejesus out of me when it happened though.
Theres no need to calibrate after firmware update.
I've never ridden an M500 or a Bosch motor but my M600 blazes up every hill I've so far thrown at it. Yes, you have to maintain cadence, but that's what gears are for - you'd have changed to a lower gear on an analog bike as you arrived at the...
I've been thinking about the waterproofness this afternoon. I came to the conclusion that it's not worth spending too much time worrying about, so long as we use IP rated switches. Looking at the Giant buttons this appears to be their approach. Initially I thought the contact surfaces were...
@captainhightop any update on your buttons?
My cable has now arrived, though I have to confess that I haven't even taken it out of the bag yet. Tempted to start attempting to design a low profile button/controller thingmy (I'm sure I settled on a word for this, but I've already forgotten it)...
