Here the “signature” of a perpendicular vs // passing by magnet.
So the ring magnet is just a strong long N-S magnet, consisting of 2 separate n-s

If you could be sure that your reedswitch is ok, this means that upgrading the software of the Bosch system works with the simple “square pulse”😃?…
Let us know your findings

Hello,
Nice these enthusiastic talks.
@tatane , what version of the motor system software are you testing on?
Actually, this is my biggest concern. I am on 4.21.0.
As said, I am successfully ran for hundreds of km with the logic I mentioned above (loop code logic).
If you have the latest motor...
239€ 🤪, material cost 30€ for end consumers, imagine if you can buy in bulk all components 😃
🤪🤪🤪
“ RimBoost pre-order at the special price of 239.00 euros. After the official release date, the RimBoost will cost 279.00 euros.”
Here my logic: reduction factor 2 (PulseCount % 2 ), pwm energize the coil on reedswitch isreleased during not more than 2x the original pulse width (if (LoopTime-PWMpulseStart>ReedUpTime*2) {
analogWrite(PWMPIN,0).
High duty for short pulses, low for long pulses (map(ReedUpTime, 555, 0, 40...
And I think we can just mimic the pulse length as a square wave, that should be enough 😜
This is the signature that I measured with my phone. (If I remember wel it is the one from the electromagnet, n’y the rim magnet...?)
I suppose Bosh is only taking the overall (sum of xyz). I c’ant imagine...
“Blink without delay”, but I think you know that…
I planned to measure the speed by capturing the reedswitch pulse length! (How long the reedswitch stay closed)
Depending on the magnet orientation (see earlier post) the reedswitch stay closed for a certain amount of time, magnet passes along...
Why in the hell would they do this over complicated logic an loose possible customers …?, if it is a legal obligation, they could just proof they apply a speed limit…
If all this is true, then I would output the real speed if <=25 km/h, and all speeds above reduce it progressively to 25🤔?
Hagrrr, sad …
Error 523003
Speed sensor is not working correctly.
The speed may therefore not be correctly displayed to you. The output of the drive unit is likewise limited.

A reduced drive unit power may therefore be available to you. The...
