Any recommendations? Would like to get some made up for the downtube in chrome or maybe brushed chrome or sumfink. If they do fork graphics as well so I can get them matched (yes I'm a saddo) that would be even better!

XL? I'm still tempted, might add chrome graphics over the downtube Trek logos, replace Zeb ones with chrome and add a silver stem and seatclamp

What does everyone think of the 9 colour? I'm not sure if I really like it or hate it, need to see it in the flesh I think

@Rob Rides EMTB - what made you decide to spend your own money on the Rail rather than the updated Levo? Review of the Levo sounded like you really liked the mullet handling and the integration is certainly way better so curious as to what made you go with the Rail, just the motor or other...

Same here. Would like a Trek Rail but not at 8k plus and cost of living is only going one way. Mine has had the 630 battery and Zeb Ultimate last year and just had second new motor under warranty, still a superb bike and can't see anything more recent is likely to be that much better so on she goes!

2018 defo has 14, that is what is included in the kit from MB. Do we think the quality of the bearings in the Kinetic kit (Abec 3 Max) is worth over twice the price of the one from MB? I hate changing bearings so if they last twice as long defo worth it in my book Vitus Bikes E-Sommet 2018...

@Rob Rides EMTB Apologies if covered elsewhere but what are your thoughts on 21 XL vs 22 L, handling, battery, geo, interface etc? Also (if you can remember with all the bikes you test) how the Rails compare to the 2019 E- Sommet you tested? Ta!

I could be wrong but I think average salary in the UK is higher than NZ, companies tend to charge what they think the market can support (or will pay)

£8.3k. Well into the territory of the sort of money I said I'd never spend on a pushbike. Actually it's 5k more than I ever spent on a motorbike, my GSXR1000 was only £3300!

Also saw the 2022 9 GX at £6600. Don't really like SRAM gears but could move those on and change to Shimano (although freehub buggeration required). Can't see any advantage to carbon on ebikes except a bit of weight. Anyone got one? Obviously this is the only Rail thread I've read, so far...

Was also thinking of looking for a discounted 2021 in XL. Any comments on pros and cons? Guess pros are a discounted price (if I can find one), cons the smaller battery and slacker ST angle? Did I also read that the waterproofing on latest gen Bosch CX motor is improved? Anything else?

How tall are you Rob and was the 9.9 AXS you tested Lor XL? Think we are similar heights and the reach on my 2018 XL e-Sommet is very similar to the L 2022 Rail. The E-Sommet is touching 4 years old and is just having a second motor fitted under warranty. Been brilliant but tempted to move it...

Evening all, going to fit some Magura MT7s to a mates 21 Kenevo. Is it a motor out job or can you get to the cables well enough through the battery opening to pull the new hose through? Anything else I need to know, tips to make it easier? Cheers!

He also couldn't find a dealer to fit it in a timescale less than a month so got pissed off and did it himself. So theoretically that means he has a new motor with no warranty if Madison are going to be dicks about it
