I agree with Dom , go large , especially if you plan to wear armour underneath.
Also agree with breathability comments.
Loads of vents which really help .
If its really filthy weather then close the vents to keep the weather out , of course there's a trade off with internal condensation but...
A mate has a Jam2 with Shimano motor.
Bought 2nd hand , so no warranty .
Has some issues with the motor.

I tried them for a whole winter on flats before the conversion
I managed but they weren't ideal , probably ok for nothing too challenging
Started to struggle when the terrain got more challenging
Loads of grip for hike a bike though
About £200 for the boots , worth shopping around , I've seen them between £175 & £225
£45 for the conversion plus P&P
Can transplant other types of soles if preferred
