What are you guys running your Reach Adjust Headsets at? What size frame?
I’m trying to decide on which way to go -5mm or +5mm for my RH3 — 5’10” and the graphic is saying go -5mm.
Thoughts?
So for you something that hinges down (Internal hinge - probably a set pin) from the front, secured by a single "locking" bolt in the rear (where the back bolt is currently) would be better for quick switches? Maybe even some sort of captured screw/latch combo so you wouldn't even have to remove...
I had considered doing a complete replacement of the plastic lower but it seemed easier to go the skid plate route which actually makes replacing the battery worse. Not sure how to make that issue better…how would you want it to work?
When I was looking at the full replacement approach I was...
Wasn’t super impressed with what they offered and I’m in the US which makes it super difficult to just being my bike by for a measurement but yeah, something like that combined with what these guys are doing plus something that deflects rocks away from the cooling fins.
I’ll have a kydex/alu...
I’m still in the early stages of CAD (Cardboard Aided Design) on a prototype but would anyone else be interested in something like this?
First versions will be heat-formed 1/4" Kydex possibly skinned with an aluminum plate bonded to the outside for extra protection.
If others are interested...
Microtune was a game changer on the XX1 AXS derailleur I run on my Blur. It did take some fiddling but I also ran extra large pulley wheels. Hopefully, it goes about like the last AXS and just requires a bit of tuning and isn't a giant trainwreck...then again I am marrying it (XO Transmission)...
Finally, the last piece of my Crestline RS180 build has arrived. Cannot wait to get some tires on these bad boys…the pattern I built into the lacing while drinking actually turned out pretty cool as one side of the wheel is fully black spokes and the other is interlaced gold and silver.
All of...
You don’t need to take off the chainstay armor; the film piece there fits perfectly in between the upper and lower portions.
Might actually be more annoying to try and get it in place without than with with the chainstay in place as you’ll need to guess where it will be.
Mine was already...
Love it - I’m taking my own frameset in to be built out this week as soon as my I9 wheelset arrives. Was going to build it out myself but then talked to the owner of one of my local bike shops to confirm they had the Bosch certs (and software) and he said they would do it for me in 48 hours (I...
Troydon confirmed that he's also going to reach out to RideWrap to let them know about the issue as he just heard from another person about this same issue. 👍
Because I was trying to figure out the shapes, I didn’t follow the order of putting the pieces on the bike so it was probably a bit harder than it needed to be but overall it wasn’t as bad as I expected. The most annoying pieces were the area down by the bottom bracket and the biggest piece for...
Here is a map that I created as I puzzled through the process. The map takes the piece number from the instruction page (3D render) and maps it to the shape on the film sheet.
You’ll have to zoom in to see the handwritten numbers on the stickies.
I sent RideWrap an email about the problem as...
Ok, so the big thing to know is that they combined piece 1 & 3 into a single piece but that didn’t just throw everything off by 1 number…oh no, it’s like they sniffed a bunch of model glue and went for a totally inconsistent numbering scheme.
Good thing I like puzzles because a lot of the...
As the title says, the install diagram, for the custom fit version, that tells you which pieces, on the big ‘ole sheet, go where is totally wrong except for #1 😤😂😣
I will post a full renumbering once I figure out which little squiggly piece goes where.
This is gonna require more Tequila.
I use both the Leatt Airflex Pro and 3DF 6.0 — found that these two options worked well for me. Pro’s are what I wear when I go one easy rides with minimal to no gnarliness; when I do rides with drops, rock gardens, etc., I use the 3DFs. I sometimes throw on some Shadow Conspiracy thin shin...
First time trying out Yoshimura Cycling components and I have to say that they make a beautiful product; can’t wait to get them into service.
Had to source the gold pins from AliExpress as the ones from Yoshi looked like Pumpkin Spice, not Gold but other than that, the pedals are great! The...
