Parts for Shimano E8000 motor - lead from battery to motor.

Shimano uses propietary connectors, and it will be almost impossible to find spare connectors. If your issue is in the cable from Battery to Motor, the best would be to replace the complete cable assembly. This is the new version of the bracket for the external battery (metal made and valid...

    New E8000 Motor not working.

Hi Phil, do not worry, it is not Rocket Science. So, the firmware doesn't automatically update when the new motor is installed and the system is powered up? - NO automatic FW update. Depending on your Shimano Display model, it might not work with a motor at old FW level. SC-E8000 should work...

    New E8000 Motor not working.

I guess you were just lucky, and both bikes have similar angle and wheel diameter, then motor will not detect any issue. Motor Torque sensor REQUIRES to know the motor angle to modulate the power delivery according rider input. Take into account that rider input force changes during the...

    New E8000 Motor not working.

It can be done, but you should do it before upgrading to the latest FW. I read that latest FW does not allow Stunlocker to work. Also, you need to know the angle and circumference values in the original motor.

    New E8000 Motor not working.

Probably a Shimano Service Center can do that. But as the ebay motor does not have a Shimano warranty, I believe that you may use APP Stunlocker Premium version, at a cost of around 30€

Broken Bottom bracket “like” crank connection on EP8 RS

I have read this information in forums, I do not have it in writing. But Shimano may have changed its warranty handling or it may depend on the country distributor, so your country may warranty it. You will have to ask Shimano for the warranty and wait for their decision. I would try also...

Broken Bottom bracket “like” crank connection on EP8 RS

Shimano does not approve the use of non Shimano crank arms, that's the reason why they refuse warranty when a manufacturer uses non Shimano cranks. I believe that Orbea is liable for this. But Shimano warranty handling may have changed or may depend on the country distributor, so It is...

Broken Bottom bracket “like” crank connection on EP8 RS

Shimano will not warranty it, they say that you should use Shimano crank arms. Try with Orbea. This is a known issue: https://support.ethirteen.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408312390043-TSB-157-Shimano-EP8-Spindle-Inspection-in-Conjunction-with-e-thirteen-e-spec-Cranks

Magura MT7 leaking in Master Cylinder

I have the Magura MT7 and 400Km ago I bled the rear brake, but yesterday the lever was soft and close to the handlebar again. Checking the lever I saw that it was stained with a thin layer of brake oil. On the side of the lever there is a small hole that if an internal joint breaks, the liquid...

Swapped E7000 for E8000, but wont turn on

This could be the reason, some motors DU-E8000 from Germany are at an old FW level, but DU-E8000 motor got the support for display SC-E7000 with FW 4.7.1, which was released on 2 Sept 2019. So if motor DU-E8000 is at a lower FW level, then SC-E7000 won't work...

Polini motor has a grease nipple, but I believe it is intended to grease the main large gear wheel. Grease may alro reach the right side crankshaft bushing but I am not so sure about the left side one.

Polini Motor: Mechanical design and Reliability

Yes, I already saw some reviews of bikes and moto, but I am also interested in the opinions about the motor design approach and long term results, and although @Bearing Man might not have seen a real one, he might have an opinion about the design and expected reliability.
