I had to go searching for it , scroll down to page 25.
Today has been a fair old disaster , safe to say. Aside from the stream issues with juniors , I've been watching live qualifying on the UCI site. About 15 riders...

Interesting.... No doubt commentary will be German but I might fire up the VPN and have a peek.
So the stream ran pretty good for me on GCN , quality was automatically flipping from I'm guessing 480 - 1080p but at least it was steady. Turned the commentary off for the womens , I needed a break from the Ced-Ric sideshow 🤫. Quite a long session on the couch , 5.5 hours of viewing I think it...

No broadcast of qualies but I guess we're getting semis as well as finals so there's that , plus the live timing seems to work pretty well , bookmark that link. Think of semis as qualies ? 😁
How much we see of each run comes down to the time gap between...
My experience: Went to the UCI YouTube channel , their stream didn't start after the countdown timed out.
Went to GCN+ , the stream wouldn't load on that page.
Went back to the UCI YouTube page where thankfully someone in the chat said the GMBN racing channel had the stream running ok. A few...
If you have any interest in roadie stuff , you'll have plenty to watch haha.
I did the same back in March , watched the Atherton film and scrolled past endless amounts of non MTB content.
I think an older frame will work the best , something with a traditional 68mm threaded bottom bracket. Here's my conversion , a 2014 Banshee Spitfire. Bafang powered Banshee Spitfire
A dual suspension frame will be more bike than you need from your description but something from 2015 or...
Im running an HG steel freehub with 10 speed Sunrace 11 - 42 with 29" wheels. That gives enough range for the places I ride and durability has been excellent. I like that the Sunrace cassettes have an aluminium carrier for all but the smallest 4 sprockets.
I like your thinking. .... but
At $16 AUD per month , thats $48 AUD versus a yearly subscription for $65AUD and I can watch the enduro rounds as well. Might as well get the yearly.
I think the GCN+ price is fair and as it's available monthly , 5 months from June to October will cover the DH season. (y)
The only question left is who's on the commentary team? I'm from the "nobody could replace Warner" camp , so there's nothing to look forward to. 😅
EDIT: My comment on the...
I don't think EMBNs content is a good source of education for those just getting into mountain biking , for reasons already discussed in this thread.
Yes , a lot of their content is aimed at beginners but a lot of their content is basically advertising for a brand or very poor comparison...
I'm 180 cm on a medium although I "should" be on a L. Mondraker sizing is on the big side so personally I'd say you'll be fine.
I have no regrets buying the M.
For the times when you're on flat bike path commuting to or from the trails and feel like doing some exercise. I see it as a way of transforming my E bike into a conventional bike.
Also , I have Eco assistance set to 80% roughly , which makes it closer to Tour+.
