    Dalby

Dalby is great. It is tame by bike park standards as in there isn’t really anything hugely technical or massive jumps but the full red route is a good workout. Lot of climbing. A few of the sections they refreshed last year are awesome.

    Reliable hubs?

Never had an issue with hope personally - run Pro 4's and they're a piece of piss to rebuild/service. So just strip them down and service every year.

    Getting "bushwhacked", shin guard recommendations?

As an alternative, and something I've just bought - Endura do shin-pad socks They're knee high, have extra padding on your ankle, and soft padding all the way up your shin. I don't like wearing trousers when it's warm. I have proper shin/knee pads but they add even more sweat. These socks I can...

Chain Guide or not to chain guide

Never had a chain fall off any bike - with a modern narrow-wide cassette and any half decent derailleur they seem pointless. Both my last two bikes have chain guards, both have clogged completely full of mud/clay on rides. Pointless things. At least the one on my new bike flips up quickly so I...

EMTB for £3000? Narrowed down to 3 options. Marin, Cube or Orbea.

The SLX is definitely the best value for money The orbea is 110% better looking - Orbea really nail the visuals Again though the H20 is a much better "value for money" bike https://mtbmonster.com/sale-orbea-rise-h20-2023-metallic-mulberry-black/ If you can stretch for it - I'd ride a full fat...

EMTB for £3000? Narrowed down to 3 options. Marin, Cube or Orbea.

Yeah it's a very personal thing. I strongly disagree that the weight is an issue, the weight adds a lot of grip when chucking it down techy downhills. But I'm also a heavier rider, a lightweight mid-power would massively restrict the types of trails I could do. I'd be a bit careful where you...

    Bosch control module

Old thread but.... 100% agree with the above Fitted one to my Cube, the alarm is nice for when it's parked up in the garage I guess as it's an audible deterrent and stops the bike being turned on. The alarm goes off constantly when the bike is in the back of the van on the way to a ride so I...

EMTB for £3000? Narrowed down to 3 options. Marin, Cube or Orbea.

Yeah you will be happy with any I wanted the orbea - because I love their bikes, I have a hardtail non-electric orbea and it's absolutely stunning The thing that put me off is at that price range you get very budget deore stuff, basic brakes and a marzochi fork In reality though the bomber...

EMTB for £3000? Narrowed down to 3 options. Marin, Cube or Orbea.

If you're on a budget - cube is the only option for me Far higher spec than any competitors for the price range, superb warranty and support ( I had a display fail, they sent one from Germany on next day delivery, covered all removal/fitting/coding costs - bike was back in 2 days from the local...

    Auto ride start

Yeah that seems to be the case - which is utterly shit because you have to use flow to unlock the bike, or even to disable the alarm. And disabling the alarm reboots the entire bike. Not very impressed with it to be honest, very poorly thought out. My current solution is I've disabled rides...

    Auto ride start

I don't know if I'm missing something but... On my old non-smart kiox, you had to choose to start a ride, or upload a route to navigation which would then start a ride. On my new kiox 300, as soon as you power the bike on it starts a ride, and the only option is to reset. This bugs the hell...

    Let's see your cubes

Yeah I should have bought an Action Team to start - at the sale price I paid at christmas it is an absolute bargain for the components you get. Couldn't be happier

Review SicoMTB - perfect rear mudguard!

Another +1 from me Cube hybrid stereo 140 - mud clogging up the rear linkage on every muddy ride, and jamming the chain in the chain guard Tried tons of mudguards which, yes were longer to stop mud going up my back but did nothing to stop the linkage clogging up. Bought a SicoMTB guard and...

    Cube hybrid 23 vs 24

Kinda gonna disagree with the above, from my point of view I've ridden both - bought the 140 for the 29" wheels in a 2021 bike - and recently bought a 2023 action team also in the 140 29" wheels roll over roots and holes so much better than 27.5" wheels - I just couldn't get on with them at...

@Zimmerframe just curious a year or so later, do you still highly recommend these? I saw them advertised on instagram around christmas and every review I've watched raved about them I do a LOT of long climbs when I'm out on XC routes, and due to sitting for 30 years at a desk have a pretty bad...

    2023 Action Team Invisiframe

It was very calming. I quite enjoy that sort of stuff I spent 3 hours the other night in my office at home just soldering circuit boards lol

    2023 Action Team Invisiframe

I should update this in case others ask the same question Spoke to invisiframe who said if I buy a gloss kit at full price they can send a matt kit for like £30 which is cost price I opted to go for that I then put the brand new bike in my living room over christmas - which I have to say...
