This is the cable I'm referring to, I do find that water gets into the downtime from somewhere, maybe from the cable holes. The guy in the shop said it's a good idea to open this up every so often to let air get it and dry it out. One of the electrical connectors is slightly discoloured, I've...
That's good to know, it's booked in for the cable replacement but they can't do it until the 24th of April. So will have to keep unplugging it until then.
My levo is currently having a replacement power cable fitted. My initial issue was the bike not turning on after it had been left off for a few hours. I could get around this by unplugging the battery and then plugging it back in. My bike shop diagnosed a power cable issue but specialized...
Agreed the most important thing to protect is the motor, and the stock protection isn't enough if your riding terrain where it may get frequently bashed.
I think the other holes are just drainage holes. Id be interested to know how it performa as this is the one I've been thinking of ordering but in anodised black .
Great thanks, this is the one I have been looking at, they have two versions the other has more holes at the top. I think it's held onto the bike by one longer bolt.
I have been looking at getting a bash guard for my gen 3 levo. Can you tell me.
Is it worth getting one?
What's the difference between the ones with holes and full plate?
What is best colour silver or black?
I only got one new chain X01 which I'm ok with, but based on the posts on this thread seems most people run two. Using your old chain is perfectly fine once it's been fully cleaned. You could even warm the wax in the bag rather than slow cooker to cut costs just until you have tried it out.
I'm relatively new to waxing and have been riding in very muddy conditions for the past six months and was one of the reasons why I started. I waxed my chain around a month ago and it's still fine. I do find that on longer rides in muddy conditions it's so much better as there is no gunk in...
I was in the same situation, I'll support my local bike shop with servicing and repairs and other bike related stuff but £2000 is such a big saving, but I do think the current climate is quite unique. I don't think these savings will be around when I buy a new bike in a year or so.
I brought my levo off tredz as the discount was pretty big and they also did the cycle to work scheme even with sale items. When I had an issue they just told me to take it to a specialized dealer, which I thought was not great. Luckily local shop is a specialized dealer and they have been...
I'm quite new to waxing but have to say so far its been so much better than using lube. My chain and cassette were always covered in pine needles and all sorts by the end of a ride. I took this image today and as you can see the chain is probably the only thing not covered in gunk.
Out of those bikes you have mentioned and what you ride the turbo levo is a good option.
It's got plenty of power adjustable geometry and quite a capable all round bike. If you wanted something a little lighter I'd consider the orbea rise rather than the kenovo, based on what you ride.
If you have managed to solve the issue by bleeding it, should be fine for a good while especially if it was relatively new. The stealth is a great dropper when it's working correctly.
Yes don't use mineral oil, 2.5 wt is needed. I had to buy the adapter for mine as none of the adapters I had in my pack would fit snug enough. The stealth is prone to failing internally so even after a bleed you may still have issues.
I've contacted tredz who have asked me to return it to specialized. There is a local shop that sells specialized bikes which have said its ok to take the bike there but it may take several weeks to fix.
I've upgraded the forks and rear shock since I brought it, should I swap them back before...
Yes the battery level shows up ok and it charges fine. I don't fancy opening it up as it's under warranty, probably best I get them to look at it first. There definitely could be water in there as I've risen in some pretty bad conditions over the past few months
Its definitely seated right as once I've got it on it will work fine but then when I come back to it a day or so later it won't turn on. Once I open the hatch and unplug then plug it back in it works. Not sure if this resets the bike or something.
