Agreed, I always park my bike in a similar fashion. for the same reasons.
I also remove the Presta valve for filling, but I've stopped trying now because the sealant NEVER goes in. The sealant particles clog the nozzle of the injector.
If you turn off wi-fi, how does the app get the update in the first place so that it can then update your bike via Bluetooth?
Or does it arrive solely by phone signal?
Get into the habit of parking your bike with the valves either side of the bottom. Give gravity some assistance to help any sealant to flow away from the valve. If the valve is at the very bottom, a drip will form and set. It will not stop the problem from occurring, but it will delay it.
I use Continental Revo sealant. It has a tapered nozzle for injecting down the valve. The bottle has to be shaken of course to get all the particles contained in the sludge at the base of the bottle back into suspension. But when you do, they won't even come out of the nozzle! It's not...
I get the same response from my wife!
My Mother (rip) was visiting when I came back from my first ride on my new bike (1st mtb) the day after I'd returned from a skills course - "Introduction to mtb". I had gone faster than my skillset would allow and did a full superman on a cinder downhill (ie...
I share your nervousness about clamping on the carbon fibre tubes. CF on bikes is not designed for crushing forces. In addition, my top tube is neither round nor parallel, so the Vee jaws of the workstand are not ideal for firm clamping without damage.
I open the jaws of the clamp and put the...
They should not do that!
But what they do may not be much better. An LBS I used to use, pulled the dropper body out of the seat tube and clamped on that. Sure, it's nice and strong, designed for 120kg bikers levering away on it. The problem occurs when they just ram the dropper body back down...
I bought a Halfords false cross bar, but the clever design of the ends wouldn't fit to my bike. I really tried.
The right hand side bar is hinged, but thye gap is not big enough.
Mine is 23.6kg. Easy enough to lift onto my tow bar rack and also onto my work-stand.
I'm 73 with arthritis in my hands and knees, so I'm not Charles Atlas!
How heavy is your ebike?
If the racing fraternity start winning with anything new, then it will be accepted before too long. Racing tends to accelerate the evolutionary process.
That post took me back a lonnnnng time! To when I was 11, or maybe 12.
It was an English class except the English teacher was ill, so the head teacher came instead, but he was a Maths teacher.
One of the questions he asked was about pondweed.
He said pondweed doubles the area it can cover every...
Copper Ease is all you need. One small tube lasts for years!

It has a very high melting point and I have used it (admittedly when desperate) on the back of brake pads to stop squeal. It worked!
